Various Evils

Do you have a doctoral thesis; or religious book you would like to publish? Morris Publishing, in Kearney, Nebraska, can meet all your needs. The publishing guide they provide lays it all out in such a manner that even newcomers to publishing can have a beautiful book. In short, Morris Publishing is the answer to a busy pastor's prayer; as well as to anyone who wishes to have a book published.

My friend, pastor Max D. Younce, uses this publishing company, which is why I am recommending them.

I encourage others to write books. So many people want to leave a music CD for the next generation, but that won't change lives for God. Don't let your knowledge and wisdom die with you. Write a book for future generations (if the Lord tarries His return). If you write it, others will read it. Why should the Devil's crowd write all the books?

Truth is Stranger Than Fiction!

Doing The Dirty Work!

I don't like doing the constant dirty-work of exposing false prophets, public wickedness, crimes in government, and the evil agendas of our time... but somebody needs to do it! The Body of Christ has many jobs, personalities and places for every believer to fit in, but somebody needs to clean and unstop the toilets! Somebody needs to expose the New World Order and take an unpopular stand against divorce, women wearing pants and apostate Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) which leads people into the Ecumenical Movement of the New World Order.

A Paradox?

A real Christian is an odd number, anyway. He feels supreme love for the One whom he has never seen; talks familiarly every day to Someone he cannot see; expects to go to heaven on the virtue of Another; empties himself in order to be full; admits he is wrong so he can be declared right; goes down in order to get up; is strongest when he is weakest; richest when he is poorest and happiest when he feels the worst. He dies so he can live; forsakes in order to have; gives away so he can keep; sees the invisible; hears the inaudible’ and knows that which passeth understanding.

“I do not love you this morning, God loves you through me!” —Dr. Jack Hyles
(An excellent quote from the awesome MP3 sermon titled, “Filled With His Fulness”)

Interesting Historical Fact:

History shows that Christopher Columbus was in fact, a Greek prince, not a poor Italian...

"So many legends have sprung up about this strange man that it is difficult to distinguish fact from fancy. In 1937 a little book was published, entitled, Christopher Columbus Was A Greek. According to its author, Spyros Cateras, the real name of Columbus was Prince Nikolaos Ypsilantis, and he came from the Greek island of Chios. The statement is backed by quotations from numerous early historians and State documents...

All modern research on the life of Columbus tends to prove that he was not a man of humble station, poor or uneducated, and the story of Queen Isabella and her jewels is rapidly becoming recognizable as fiction. Columbus is emerging as a man of impressive personality with marked abilities as a leader and organizer and an excellent classic education."

Soul Winning: Every Christian's Job

We have such a grand opportunity in these last Days to witness with the Gospel. As we approach the End Times, more and more people are hungry for the truth. Sadly, they're being indoctrinated by atheists and nuts who believe in alien abductions, some even claiming to be Christ. The need is great for Bible-believing Christians to do the work of God.

This is a story about four people: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it.
Everybody was sure Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when actually Nobody asked Anybody.

This little story applies so much to Christians today. If not us, who? If not now, when? If not here, where? Nobody is getting the work of God done because everybody thinks somebody is going to do it, when anybody could have done it, but nobody did.

Women Of 'The Civil War'

Petersburg, Va. Cottage of Col. Nathaniel Michler (look at the beautiful vintage dresses!)

Women nurses served in both Confederate and Union hospitals during the Civil war. Besides hospitals they also served near the fighting front and on the battlefield. These brave acts earned the women the gratitude and respect from the soldiers that they helped. After the start of the Civil war, on June 10, 1861, Dorothea Lynde was appointed the Superintendent of Women Nurses. This appointment by the Secretary of War produced a nursing organization for the Union army. During this war approximately 6,000 women were employed as nurses. Of these women about 181 were black nurses that worked in U.S. government hospitals and convalescent homes.

Make Your Own Vintage Clothing

America was a much better nation back during the Civil War (1861-1865). Every woman wore beautiful long dresses. In the early 1900's all women dressed extremely modestly. What a great time in our nation's families. Feminism has ruined women in America. Today, it is very rare to see a woman wearing a long dress. Vintage women's clothing is so modest and classy. I encourage you ladies to wear vintage dresses. Make it your hobby. Better yet, get a sewing machine and learn as you go how to become a seamstress.

Get some vintage patterns and work at it. I've provided links on the Women's Page to numerous modest clothing places. There's a lot on the web to help you learn the art of being a seamstress. I'll tell you, if there's a need in America today it is for Christian women to inspire, encourage and teach young girls how to dress modestly with class, sew and make their own clothing. It's a great MINISTRY to start in your church ladies!

By the way, SINGER (products/sewing resources) sewing machines are the best in my opinion, because they have SINGER dealerships nationwide, their sewing machines retain their value (like a bluebook value on a car), they're the highest quality, I believe they come with lifetime warrantees, and they're standardized so it's easy to get support and parts. You don't need an expensive sewing machine to start. I wouldn't buy the cheapest model either. There are dozens to choose from. I wouldn't buy used unless you want someone else's problems. New is good because then you know that you're not missing anything.

You can find a dealership at SINGER'S website and go to the store to see what they have. If you stick with your hobby and enjoy it, you can buy a more expensive sewing machine later (and they're worth every penny!!!). Some sewing machines are elaborate and will do awesome embroidering at the press of a button. You absolutely wouldn't believe ladies what computerized sewing machines can do these days! I think it is an awesome thing to learn how to make HOMEMADE CLOTHING that no one else has. It's an honor to provide unique clothing made with love for your family. END

Music Makes The World A Better Place

By God's grace I have been able to record numerous steel guitar videos in 2010 and share them online. I have wanted to do this for many years. I am just a home musician, but I like to freely share my music publicly when I get the chance, but never for money. I used to play for my mom and her friends at the nursing home before she went to be with the Lord in 2001. Music makes the world a better place. I hope you will enjoy some of these as much as I have recording them...

Here's a photo of a dear lady, Ruth, playing a steel guitar with 8 strings. I've freely published an entire website for anybody who sincerely desires to learn the play Hawaiian music on the lap steel guitar. There's also lots of pretty steel guitar music to brighten your day.

David Stewart's Hawaiian Album 2001

Listen to Hundreds of Cheerful Hawaiian Songs

In 2001 I recorded a Hawaiian album for my mother before she passed away to go be with the Lord later that year. I used the A7th tuning on a pedal steel guitar. I converted my C6th neck into an A7th, very similar to the ingenious tuning of Basil Henriques. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did recording them.

Here's a very interesting person who's story and disability encourage me a lot when I feel overwhelmed with my peripheral neuropathy and neck pain and stiffness. Emily was born blind and has learned to play dobro and fiddle by ear. Her disability has actually become her strength in life. She has excellent pitch. I love her handcrafted dobro pictured on her website below, as it has NO frets. She plays by listening only...

When you were born, you cried and everybody else was happy. The only question that matters is this: When you die, will YOU be happy when everybody else is crying? Ye must be born-again! ...

1st Thessalonians 4:14-17, “When you were born, you cried and everybody else was happy. The only question that matters is this: When you die, will YOU be happy when everybody else is crying? Ye must be born-again! For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Missionary To Missionary

ABOVE: A handy practical field book written by a missionary for missionaries to help missionaries. Please note that I totally disagree with this author's view on repentance. The author states in his book that if a person is not ready to forsake the sinful habits in their life, they are not ready to be saved. That is not the free gift of God, nor the simplicity that is in Christ, which is the Gospel. Still, the book contains awesome practical advice from decades of personal missionary experience, and I highly recommend the book to anyone headed for the mission field as a helpful guide.
