The 38-year-old pop and Latin singer, known for hits such as "Livin' la Vida Loca", wrote a book called Me, which details his experiences of coming to grips with his homosexuality as well as his rise to fame. It was released on Tuesday. Martin, a former member of the group Menudo, declared in March he was homosexual in a statement through his official website.
"My faith back then was telling me that what I was feeling was bad, was evil," Martin, a native of Puerto Rico who was raised Catholic, said on The View on Wednesday, later adding: "I am a very spiritual man and my god doesn't make mistakes. I have a really cool connection with that beautiful light up there that is constantly reassuring who I am and telling me, 'You are an awesome person.'"
"If you're out there and you're struggling with your sexuality, I love you," he said. "You are very important to me, you are very important to this society. God doesn't make mistakes. You are very special. It gets hard sometimes, but it gets really cool afterwards."
Speculation about Martin's sexuality grew in 2008 after he presented photos of his twin sons, Matteo and Valentino, who were born to a surrogate mother. They are now two years old.The singer said he had longed for children for years. He said he met a boy in Thailand who had survived the 2004 tsunami and wanted to adopt him, but local laws did not allow him to do so because he would be raising him as a single father. He also bonded with children he met while touring the world with his charity, The Ricky Martin Foundation, which raises awareness about human trafficking.
Martin had told Oprah Winfrey in a recent interview that he decided to reveal his sexuality to the world as he held his children.
"My kids are my miracle," he said on The View. "My mother is on Cloud nine."
He said his mother reacted favorably when he told her he was gay.
"She asked me, 'My son, are you in love? Is it with a man?' I said, 'Yes mom, it's with a man.' She said, 'Stand up and give me a hug right now."

I have to agree with comedian George Carlin... “I'll never understand how a man can look at another man's hairy butt and say, I think I'm in love.” It's just sickening and disgusting. God calls homosexuality an ABOMINATION in Leviticus 20:11, which is a sin that causes disgust. Homosexuality is disgusting in every way. It is the ultimate expression of rebellion, the lowest one can go on the rollercoaster of sin. Once a person reaches the stage of homosexuality, it evidences that God has given that person over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh. Romans 1:24, “Wherefore God also GAVE THEM UP to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves.” It doesn't mean that God has given up on them; it means that they have become enslaved to their lusts and have given up on God.
Sin enslaves! God has given to mankind a freewill. If you want to go jump off a tall building, God will let you, and you will die. On March 30, 2010, shocked tourists watched in horror as a 21-year old student from one of America’s top Ivy League universities jumped to his death from the 86th floor observation deck of the Empire State Building. Yale University junior, Cameron Dabaghi from Austin, Texas, got a running start and scrambled over a 10-foot high spiked fence before leaping off the ledge. More than 30 people have committed suicide at the building since it opened in 1931. The next most recent jump was in January of 2009 when a 54-year old woman jumped from the 39th floor. It's so sad.
Our nation is imploding! What do you expect when you ban God's Word and prayer from our nation's schools, and the Supreme Court legalizes all sorts of wickedness, and Americans flock to SIN CITY by the tens-of-millions each year?
If you want to go commit wicked
sins, God won't stop you. This is the freewill of man; BUT,
there are consequences. Liberty is the freedom to make our own
choices; but freedom is a reward for making the right choices.
Homosexuality is the WRONG choice, as is abortion, drunkenness
and pornography. America is going to Hell ladies and gentleman,
because we haven't humbled ourselves, nor prayed, nor sought
God's face, nor turned from our wicked ways as a nation. God's
face is toward those who are righteous; and God's face is
against those who are evil.
Homosexuals Have Given Up On God
Most people who CHOOSE to enter into the homosexual lifestyle rarely ever come out of it. Certainly, there is hope for homosexuals and lesbians, and the power of God can deliver even the vilest sinner through the sin-cleansing blood of Jesus Christ (1st John 1:7). However, homosexuality in itself is a rebellious state of mind and heart that sets a person adamantly against God. Homosexuality is rebellion against God! It is one thing for a man and a women to be tempted to commit sexual immorality, and that is evil enough; but homosexuality takes sin to a whole new level which is unnatural, strange, and reveals a very hard heart against one's Maker. The Bible teaches in Romans 1:24 that homosexuality is an advanced stage of sexual immorality and lust, to where God gives that person over to their sins. Again, God doesn't give up on them; they have given up on God (Romans 2:28).
Romans 1:24 teaches that homosexuals are enslaved to sexual lusts. They are addicted to sexual sins and homosexuality is the next low-point of wickedness in their life. Only the power of God can deliver a person from the clutches of the vile homosexual lifestyle. Only by repenting toward God through faith in the only begotten Son of God, can one's sins be forgiven, and a homosexual find the necessary help from Jesus Christ to overcome homosexuality. Jesus doesn't condemn anyone, and neither do I, nor should you; but the Word of God, the Bible, condemns all humanity as being guilty sinners (Romans 3:19). Jesus came into the world to SAVE SINNERS!
Homosexuality is the most prevalent
sin in demonic occult groups like
Bohemian Grove, Skull and Bones, and others. Hitler was a
homosexual, as was Satanist Aleister Crowley, as are Hollywood's
owners and many of the biggest stars. U.S. President Richard
Nixon once famously described the gathering at Bohemian Grove as
“the most faggy G_ddamned thing you could ever imagine.”
Mr. Nixon should know since he was a regular attendee and
member.
The Evil Homosexual Agenda Began Long Ago
It doesn't surprise me that Ricky Martin is coming out late in his career that he is a homosexual, for this is what hundreds of celebrities are doing these days. It's all a dirty tactic by the homosexual community to lure Americans into accepting the immoral “gay rights” agenda. We have become sinfully tolerant as a nation concerning the evils of divorce, abortion, pornography, drunkenness, casino gambling, fornication, public nudity, prostitute escort services, adultery, strip joints, x-rated adult book stores, Communism, euthanasia, the mass-murdering of Iraqis, and a multitude of evils destroying our nation. Homosexuality will become mainstream within 5 to 10-years if the Lord tarries. Public preaching against the sin of homosexuality will be criminalized and banned.
Too many singers are coming out of the gay closet for this to have been mere coincidence. Thousands of singers, actors and entertainers were carefully chosen, nurtured, and popularized by homosexuals running the music and television industry in order to promote the “gay rights” agenda when the time came. Now is that time. Hollywood has been hogwild homosexual ever since the day it began. From Rock Hutson (1925-1985) to Robert Reed (1932-1992), Hollywood is the place of homosexuals. Everybody and their dog are coming out of the closet these days that they are gay.

The singer, who began his career in the 1980s with Puerto Rican boy band Menudo, also had hits with She Bangs and Shake Your Bon Bon.
Martin, who fathered two children with a surrogate mother two years ago, said his decision to write his memoirs had helped him to free "things that were too heavy to keep inside".
"Not sharing with the world my entire truth" about his sexuality, he continued, had become "a self-fulfilling prophecy of sabotage".
Becoming a father, he went on, had convinced him "enough [was] enough" and that things "had to change".
"To keep living as I did... would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids were born with," he said in a posting written in both English and Spanish.
Martin had previously remained tight-lipped about his sexual orientation, refusing to answer interviewer Barbara Walters when she raised the topic in 2000.
In recent years the singer has become an advocate for children's charities, setting up his own foundation against human trafficking.
