GOD CARETH FOR YOU

by David J. Stewart

1st Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

It is very easy for a believer to become discouraged in their daily life and ask them self the question, “Does God really care about me?” 1st Peter 5:7 is not just a casual invitation from God to the born-again believer; but moreover, a royal command. It is NOT optional in the Christian life to place one's burdens into the hands and care of God. Most believers fail to obey this simple but important duty of prayer.

What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.

We can only see today; but God in His foreknowledge sees eternity. We have very limited power, but God is all-powerful (omnipotent). We can only be in one place at a time; but God is everywhere at all times (omnipresent). We are creatures of emotion and change; but God cannot be corrupted, changed or have a bad day (God is immutable). We have very limited knowledge; but God has knowledge about everything and knows all (omniscient). What a wonderful God!!!

God instructs us in 1st Peter 5:7 to cast our cares upon Him in constant prayer, because we are trusting upon the blood sacrifice of His dear Son, Jesus the Christ. If you are not saved, i.e., if you are not a born-again believer, then you are not entitled to the throne of God. If you have knowingly rejected Jesus as your personal Savior, Who is the Christ, the Son of God, then God is angry with you (Psalm 7:11) and God's wrath abideth upon you (John 3:36). You have trampled underfoot the Son of God. Not everyone is God's child as some people lie and claim. I have heard people my entire life say that everyone is a child of God. What they are truly saying is that they don't believe the Bible, because the Word of God plainly teaches in Galatians 3:26 that only by faith in Jesus Christ are we the children of God. Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

God does care about you even if you are unsaved; but you don't care about God, otherwise you'd obey His Word. God sent His only begotten Son into the world (John 3:16), because He loves humanity and wants us all saved (2nd Peter 3:9). The choice is ours alone to make. Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” But don't be deceived friend, God will personally cast you into Hell and take out His anger upon you in flaming fire of vengeance if you die in your sins. 2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.” Have you believed a lie? Are you truly a child of God by faith in Christ Jesus?

Let me ask you an important question my friend, “Do you believe that the Bible is God's Word?” That is the million dollar question. If you believe that the Bible is God's inerrant, perfect, preserved and inspired Words, and that means the King James Bible; then you must also believe that God CARES about you as His child. If you belong to the King of kings, Jesus Christ our Lord, then you have a right to the throne of grace. Hebrews 4:15-16, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Every believer has a God-given right to come BOLDLY, not arrogantly or demandingly, but boldly in humility to God's throne to seek His mercy to find grace “TO HELP IN TIME OF NEED.”

When you feel like God is not answering your prayers, but you keep on praying anyway, that is the greatest faith! When you feel that God does not care, but you continue serving Him faithfully, doing right, and casting all your burdens upon Him anyway as He instructs, that requires the greatest faith. It is easy to pray when someone sees immediate answers to their prayers; but to continue praying over an extended period of time, without seeing any visible results, makes one a prayer-warrior.

God works behind the scenes, in mysterious ways (mysterious to us, because we don't see the big picture; but God DOES!). Isaiah 55:8, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” It is so typical of believers to expect God to work in their own ways, trying to fit God within the finite and confused world in which we dwell; but God lives in eternity, not in time, not by men's standards.

Oh!, how we need to keep in mind Isaiah 64:8: “But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the CLAY, and thou our POTTER; and we all are the work of thy hand.” God is the divine Potter, and we are the dust of the earth (literally the dirt of the earth). We are spirits living in temporary fleshly tents provided by God. We are living on borrowed time. Whether or not you feel special to God, you are. Jesus died for you and gave His blood, proving His love toward us. 1st John 3:16, “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” Amen!

GOD CARES because the Bible teaches that He cares. You may or may not feel it, but that should be irrelevant to the fact that the Bible teaches GOD CARES!!! Your life would be transformed if you would learn to live by the PROMISES of God in His Word, rather than based upon what you think or how you feel inside. It doesn't matter what I think, nor how I feel; I KNOW God cares because the Bible says GOD CARES in 1st Peter 5:7. And I'm going to lighten my load, by casting (literally, “to get rid of”) my burdens upon the Lord through prayer, because that is what Jesus tells me to do. God wants us to trust Him by placing our burdens and troubles into His hands through prayer. Let go, let God. If you have enemies or people problems, let God sort 'em out. Don't fret over hurt feelings and mean things that people do.

God knows that people can be real jerks; they nailed His perfect Son to a cross, convicting and crucifying an innocent man as a criminal. They called Jesus insane, demon-possessed, a bastard, a liar, a deceiver, and tried to kill Him on numerous occasions for nothing more than telling THE TRUTH. What do you think people will do to us, who are Jesus' disciples? If only one-out-of-ten people who were healed of the horrible disease of leprosy thanked Jesus, do you think people will be grateful today? We have all seen people throwing their garbage out the car window. People just don't care anymore; but God cares, and I care, and so do you if you truly know and love Jesus Christ.

Do you believe that the Bible is God's inspired Words? Well do you? If so, then God wants you and me as believers to get rid of our worries, fears and concerns, prayerfully laying them at Jesus' feet to deal with. We are to do what we can, and then place the rest into God's hands. Proverb 3:5-7 PROMISES divine guidance if we'll simply acknowledge God in all our ways. This means applying Scriptural principles to what we can control, and then praying about EVERYTHING as Philippians 4:6 commands (especially praying for what we have no control over). Prayer is trusting God! We are appealing unto God to help us with our life. Whether you feel like God is hearing you or not doesn't matter. What matters is if you have enough faith to keep praying anyhow! Hebrews 11:6 teaches that God is pleased by faith. Faith is praying, especially when you don't see any results. Even if you do fret and worry, keep praying for God to work in ways that only God can do.

The devils tremble when the weakest saint gets upon his knees to pray.

The unsaved world says God doesn't exist because Christians can't prove that God answers prayer. They treat God like a science-project, like some sort of lab experiment. Nature itself proves the existence of God (Romans 1:20). So much so in fact, that Romans 1:20 says they are “WITHOUT EXCUSE.” Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” There you have it! That's all the proof you need, all the proof God guarantees you, and all the proof to convict you to Hell fire for all eternity if you “DIE IN YOUR SINS(John 8:24).

I’m so glad I’m a part of the family of God
I’ve been washed in the fountain
Cleansed by His blood
Joint heirs with Jesus as we travel this sod
For I’m part of the family
The family of God!

The Bible is filled with situations where all hope seemed lost, but God had a plan and was working behind the scenes for His glory and purpose. God is not even mentioned once in the Old Testament book of Esther; yet we see God working throughout the entire book behind the scenes. The lesson is simple: When you can't see the hand of God, trust the heart of God! We only think in terms of what's best for us, but God thinks in terms of eternity and what brings glory to the name of the Lord, Who is worthy of all praise, honor and worship. Revelation 5:9, “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.” Jesus is precious!

God cares about each and every individual, unconditionally. God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). Most people only care about those who care about them. That is NOT Biblical Christianity. As Christians, we should care about the individual as much as the group. I realized when I started this website that most people would go away angry or laughing, but I didn't make this website for them. I made this website with God's help and guidance to reach out to the INDIVIDUAL. It's that one person in a hundred that I am here to help by Gods grace.

Here are the excellent words of Pastor Lee Roberson, who spent his life caring and living for others. . . .

“Without concern we're not Christlike. Without concern we're not Christlike. Ah, watch yourself. ... Now your greatest need as a Christian, and of every Christian, is a concern for lost and dying people. Without concern we're not Christlike. You have no claim to Christlikeness unless you're concerned about others. Without concern we're not obeying the Scriptures.”

Pastor Lee Roberson (1909-2007), from the needful sermon: The Revival America Needs

Gold, gold, gold! No my friend, your attitude ought to be God, God, God!!!
