“Why Do You Promote Pastor Steven Anderson?”

By David J. Stewart | February 2018

Mark 9:38-40, “And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part

Mr. Stewart,

I have been a visitor of your site for several years now and just wanted to first thank you for your ministry. However, I've been seeing a lot of terrible things surface lately with Pastor Steven Anderson, which you promote on your site. I just wanted to know if you were aware of his thoughts on homosexuality and preaching style? Of course, I am in full agreement this is a sin and an abomination to God; no doubt, but he mentions that he "prays they will die and go to hell" all while using the fa**ot word from the pulpit. This is uncharacteristic of a Christian and how they should be portrayed, no less from a Pastor. There is no separation from him and Westboro Baptist Church, which is oddly ironic because he preaches against them. Shouldn't he be preaching against the sin of homosexuality and not that he wishes the people go to hell? That is a disturbing thought that he, a Pastor, is teaching this hatred to his congregation. Also, he stated that he hates 'homos' along with Barrack Obama. Doesn't 1 John 3:15 state, "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him."

It pains me to see this being promoted by you, because of Amos 3:3 "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" I sincerely hope you do not continue to promote this man, but instead, pray for him.

Hello Justin,

Thank you for regularly visiting my website ministry, and thank you for the kind words.

I agree with you about Pastor Anderson, and it is unfortunate that he teaches hatred against homosexuals. It hurts his ministry. I have addressed this in the past online, to warn web visitors and let them know where I stand on the issue...

I have also written a lengthy article, differentiating between what Dr. Jack Hyles rightly taught about the "reprobate doctrine" verses the unscriptural view of Pastor Anderson...

Having said that, Brother Hyles used to say that he'd rather see a guy with wild fire than no fire. Steven Anderson has fire! I have learned so much about the Word of God from listening to his preaching, and if it helps me, it will help others. NO ONE in America today that I know of is doing more to get souls saved than Pastor Anderson. He is organizing soul-winning events nationwide, and around the world, for which I admire him and fully support his efforts. He is criticized by many, and I don't want to fight against my brother who is getting the job done. Faithful Word Baptist Church goes soul-winning 7-days a week, doing incredibly work reaching the Indians that no other churches seem to care about. So for this reason, I am "patient with those who are with young," a great sermon I heard long ago by Brother Hyles.

I have received complaints from other web visitors as well, so are are not alone. The goal of my ministry is to help others by promoting the truth. If something helps me, then I promote it to help others. That is why I reluctantly promote Alex Jones, who I am convinced is not a genuine Christian. I like Alex, but he loves money and has sold out to the establishment. At one time he exposed the fraudulent left/right paradigm, now he is a Republican it seems. But I believe my web visitors have more to gain from hearing what Alex has to say, than for me to stop promoting him. Alex has fire! It's wild fire, but it is fire nonetheless. Alex's dozens of videos are awesome! So if I am going to promote Alex Jones, I'm certainly going to promote Pastor Anderson. Dr. Max Younce says the King James Bible is not inspired, but I love Pastor Younce as a Christian brother and mentor and will continue to promote his hard work and excellent books, and grateful ministry. It is not always easy for me to decide who to promote and not promote. I want to help people in any way that I can, so I weigh all considerations, and ask the Lord to continually give me wisdom and a broken heart.

I promote Evangelist Sam Gipp, who denies the inspiration of the Bible and says that Mary and Joseph disobeyed God by naming their child, "Jesus." The Bible plainly says in Matthew 1:21 that they were supposed to name Him "Jesus." This just shows how brainwashed many in the clergy are today over Zionism. I like that Pastor Anderson exposes Zionism. So it is a constant thing for me to pick and choose. When Dr. Bob Gray Sr. promoted Johnny Nixon's "Born That Way" book, I struggled with still promoting Online Baptist Bible College, but I stood by Dr. Gray Sr. and Dr. Russell Anderson, because I trust and love those men. I am their friend! I'm glad that they ousted Johnny! Thank God! I do appreciate your concerns my brother. Truthfully, I could find a reason to stop promoting everyone that I promote, if I scrutinized them too much. I give my brethren room to swim, to be human, to be wrong, to make mistakes. I learned that from Brother Hyles.

Pastor Fred Phelps was a Calvinist minister, whose 8 children were all lawyers (he needed them). Fred hated gays and believed that God hated them too. Although Pastor Anderson does share some similar hatred, it is not rooted in Calvinism as was Pastor Phelps' hatred; but rather, it is rooted in Pastor Anderson's wrong view of the Scriptures. You are correct Justin, God hates the sin but never the person. How could God command us to love our enemies, while hating His? Fred Phelps used to have his church members hold up signs at the funerals of soldiers killed in action, reading, "Thank God for dead soldiers!" What a nut job! Yet, if we examine why Fred did those things, because America has forsaken God, murdering 50,000,000 babies by abortion, et cetera, it makes perfect sense WHY he did such offensive things. As much as I totally disapprove of Fred Phelps methods, he comes a LOT closer to being right than all the sorry rascals in the pulpit across America, who lack the courage and conviction to preach the truth and cry aloud against sin!

So, although I reluctantly support Pastor Steven Anderson, I would 10,000 times rather promote him than all these deadbeat pastors today, who are sitting on the premises instead of standing on the promises, who never lift a finger to reach the local community, never make a difference for God, never expose the corrupt modern Bible versions, never criticize false prophets by name, and are a disgrace to their profession. I love that Pastor Anderson calls names. I love that he exposes the modern Bible versions. He is so aggressive about what he believes to be true, that he sent 6,500 DVD's to every independent Baptist church across America, to push his PreWrath rapture theory (which I totally disagree with). But I love a guy like that with determination! He gets my vote, because he is 100% King James Bible only, and he is 100% correct on the Gospel. I hope that helps. I thought your question deserved a proper lengthy response.

Here is a wonderful Bible study series called, "SO GREAT SALVATION," by Pastor Max D. Younce, which I am sharing with all my web visitors. It has been a big blessing to me to hear these studies and I hope you'll also listen to them...

Thank you for allowing my website ministry to be a part of your life, I don't take it lightly.

Psalms 90:9b and 12, "...we spend our years as a tale that is told. ... So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom."

Proverbs 4:18, "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day."

Ephesians 3:19, "And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."

Kindest regards,

Please understand that I don't like a lot of things about a lot of preachers, but we are at war against the Devil and his crowd. I'm going to fight the Devil, not my brother who is getting the job done. I will fight against corrupt churches who are promoting the falsehood of Calvinism, of which John MacArthur brags he is a 5-point Calvinist. I will fight against bad churches that promote corruptible seed, destroying God's vineyard with the satanic Alexandrian Bible perversions. Pastor Anderson has done the Christian world a great service, with his awesome movie, “New World Order Bible Versions.” I hope you will take the time to watch it.

We've got a bunch of armchair quarterback Christians today, who never lift a finger to preach the Gospel. They never partake of local soulwinning marathons in their area. They don't support any soulwinning ministry. They never do anything for God. All they do is scrutinize and criticize the guy who's making a difference, the man who's getting the job done! Pastor Steven Anderson is a diligent soulwinner, so he gets my vote! Dr. Hyles was often criticized as well. The purpose of my ministry is not to sit back as a critic and attack everyone with whom I disagree; but rather, to contend for the Christian faith as taught in the inspired Word of God. The purpose of my ministry is to help the churches, by promoting the helpful life-changing sermons of fundamental pastors, and to do everything in my power to help reach the lost for Christ with the Gospel. I don't make any money and don't want it. My ministry is to proclaim THE TRUTH, without bias or prejudice. My loyalty is to God and truth.

Personally, I thank God for Brother Anderson, his family and church! I don't agree with everything that he teaches, and no doubt, neither does he agree with all my preaching, but souls are being saved, and that is the main thing! Here are some excellent soulwinning sermons, that I have been blessed to listen to this week. In particular, I appreciate the sermon called, “The Power Of Soulwinning!” ...
