Visitor Asks, "Will My Brother Be in Heaven?"
I received the following letter in July of 2007 from one of my web visitors:Dear Sir's,
I lost a twin brother whom I loved so much and I am so sad that I can't live with out him. We have never been separated for a singled day in this 27 years of our life, and he suddenly died and I feel guilty for that.
Please can you teach me from the Bible that if there is any way that we will meet in the future, and is it appropriate for me to pray for him so that we both shall meet in heaven.
Thanks,
Please help me
Hi Debesay,
The Bible states in 2nd Thessalonians 1:8..."In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power."
Those who do not obey the Gospel (i.e., good news) of Jesus Christ crucified, will burn in the flames of Hellfire forever. I do not know where your brother went, Heaven or Hell. Our liberal-minded society claims that everyone goes to Heaven; BUT, the Bible does NOT teach any such lie. It's Heaven or Hell, and ALL Christ-rejecters go straight to Hellfire. I say this in honesty.
The way to Heaven is NOT found in ANY religion, but in the Person of Jesus Christ, who shed His precious blood to be for our sins. Ye must be born again...http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Basics/ye_must_be_born_again.htm
Your brother is already in eternity, wherever that may be. There is absolutely nothing you or anyone else can do for him now. Once we die, our fate is sealed. We either die in the Lord (Revelation 14:13), or we die in our sins (John 8:24). I do hope that your brother is in Heaven, and that you will be there too.
Kindest regards,
In Jesus' name,
David J. Stewart
