Which God?

I
was speaking with a devout Roman Catholic woman the other day, who said to
me… “We all worship God in a different way, but there is only one God.”
Sadly, she has bought into the lie of the Devil. Our text verse, 2nd Corinthians
11:3,4 is clear evidence that there are indeed false Christs, gospels, and
spirits.
Although it is true that there is only one True God—the God of the Bible;
there are many false gods being worshipped today, whom people tragically
recognize as God. The Catholic woman with whom I was speaking is seeking
to justify all gods as being one and the same God.
Nothing could be further
from the Truth of God’s Word. The purpose of this article is to examine a
few of society’s false gods, expose them as fraudulent, and to present the
genuine God of the Bible.
THE CULT OF CATHOLICISM
Catholicism is the biggest cult in the world, comprising an estimated
1,000,000,000 followers. According to Jesus Christ, Catholics worship God in
“vain,” i.e., they are wasting their time. Catholic worship is empty, void,
and meaningless to God. Why? It’s because Catholics follow the traditions of
men instead of the commandments of God. In Mark 7:9 Jesus plainly stated…
“Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition” (Mark 7:9).
I used to believe that Catholics would eagerly forsake their false religion
and come to Christ if only I could get the Truth of God’s Word to them. Not
so! Just as the Pharisees FULL WELL rejected the Word of God, so do
Catholics today FULL WELL (i.e., they know exactly what they’re doing)
reject the Word of God. Catholics have been taught by the lying priests that
the dogma of the Catholic Church is EQUAL to the Scriptures. Blasphemy!!!
It doesn’t take much effort to expose the wickedness of the Catholic Church.
The entire Catholic doctrine of the Immaculate Conception of Mary is in
fact, an IMMACULATE DECEPTION! The very notion that Mary was born WITHOUT a
sin-nature, and never sinned once in her life, and never saw death but was
assumed bodily into Heaven—is the height of unscholarly rubbish!!!
Catholics pervert Luke 1:28 to mean that Mary was “full of grace,” but the original Greek does NOT say that--it says that Mary received grace from God, just as all believers can (Hebrews 4:16). The only One “full of grace” mentioned in the Scriptures was Jesus Christ (John 1:14). The doctrines of the Catholic Church quickly crumble to pieces when hit with the Hammer of God’s Word…
“Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29).
One phrase that you’ll NEVER hear in the Catholic Church, which Jesus
commanded us to do in John 5:39 is… SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES!!!
SOCIETY’S MANY FALSE GODS
Jesus explicitly stated in NO uncertain terms…
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and IN TRUTH” (John 4:24).
You CANNOT worship God in lies and heresy, which 100% contradicts the
statement made by the Catholic woman I mentioned earlier. She claims that
all religions have the same God, and therefore we should all accept each
other’s religion as valid. This is 100% New Age mentality, and it’s a
devilish doctrine.
We can’t all be right! That is common sense folks!
Christians believe that Jesus is God’s Son, because John 3:16 says so; YET,
Islamic Muslims believe that God has NO son, because the Koran says so.
These two groups are diametrically opposed to each other! Obviously the god
of Islam is NOT the God of the Bible.
1st John 2:22,23 clearly states that anyone who DENIES Jesus Christ is a
LIAR and an ANTICHRIST. Judaism openly denies Jesus Christ; therefore,
Judaism is a false religion of the Devil. Since most Jews today deny Jesus
as the Savior, they CANNOT possibly worship God, because they are not
worshipping Him in TRUTH. Most people today are worshipping a false god, and
not the True God of the Bible. In 2nd Corinthians 11:3,4 the Apostle Paul
clearly warned…

Clearly, not all religions worship the SAME GOD. Thus, to put forth the notion that all religions worship the same God is to deny the Biblical faith. The Apostle Paul clearly warned us that false prophets would try to seduce us with ANOTHER jesus, ANOTHER gospel, and ANOTHER spirit (lowercases intended). These 3 words are very important: Jesus, Gospel, and Spirit:
- Jesus – The Bible teaches that Jesus is Almighty God, i.e., the Godhead became incarnate in the flesh of Jesus.
- Gospel – The Bible teaches that we are saved by grace through faith in the finished redeeming work of Christ.
- Spirit – Any spirit that is not the Holy Spirit is a familiar spirit (i.e., a demon).
There are numerous psychic mediums appearing on TV today, speaking much about “spirituality” and “spirits”; but they are demonic sprits, NOT the Holy Spirit of God. Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW’s) and Mormons deny the deity of Jesus Christ; thus, denying the God of the Bible.
The Bible is abundantly clear that God Almighty came to this earth in the Person and flesh of Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3,14; 10:33; 1st Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9; Revelation 1:8). JW’s and Mormons are liars! The Godhead was manifest in Jesus Christ (1st Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9). Hence, to reject Jesus is to reject the Godhead…
“Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.” -1st John 2:23
The only way to the Father is through the Son (John 14:6). We hear much talk from the unsaved world about Heaven, Hell, and spiritual matters; but it is all lies and deceit, not the TRUTH of God’s Word. Which God? If you want to obey the TRUTH of God’s Word, then you will receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, and know that He is Almighty God
