New Apostolic Church EXPOSED!

By David J. Stewart

The NEW APOSTOLIC CHURCH (NAC) is a false religion, of the Devil.  Jesus warned us in Matthew 7:15 about "wolves" who would come to us in "sheep's clothing" to deceive and take advantage of us... "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

NAC teaches the Baptismal Regeneration Heresy

On their website, they teach the damnable heresy of Baptismal Regeneration, i.e., the lie that a person MUST be baptized in order to go to Heaven.  The Word of God plainly states in Romans 4:5 that faith is all that is required to be saved... "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

According to Article #6 of the New Apostolic Church (NAC) creed...

Article 6:
I believe that the Holy Baptism with water is part of the rebirth, and that a person baptised with water is entitled to the Holy Sealing. It is furthermore the covenant of a good conscience with God.
[emphasis added]

Water Baptism is NOT a part of the new birth.  The Scriptures don't teach any such heresy.  The Apostle John said, "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life..." (1st John 5:13).  Yet, John never mentions baptism or speaking-in-tongues.  The NAC is of the Devil.

NAC Claims You CANNOT Be Saved, or Receive the Holy Spirit, Except Through One of Their Apostles!

According to Article #8 in the NAC creed...

Article 8:
I believe that those baptised with water must receive the Holy Spirit through an apostle, to obtain the childhood in God, whereby they become incorporated as members in the body of Christ.
[emphasis added]

Blasphemy!  The Bible teaches in 1st Timothy 2:5 that there is only ONE MEDIATOR between God and men, the Lord Jesus Christ... "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."  It is the height of wickedness for any sinful man to claim the right and power to be a mediator of God's saving grace.  Jesus plainly stated in John 14:6... "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."  Acts 4:10-12 plainly states... "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."  So what right do sinfully arrogant men have, to claim that there can be NO salvation except THROUGH THEM?

NAC members profess to believe in Christ; but they are "apostle centered."  The NAC doesn't openly reveal this information to visitors.  Victims come to realize this over time... after investing their hearts, devotion, time, efforts, and money.  The NAC states that only through NAC apostles can you receive forgiveness of sin and God's Holy Spirit.  According to NAC, if you want to become a child of God, then you MUST go through one of their church apostles to do so.

NAC Teaches that Lost Loved One's Who are Dead Can Still Be Saved!

NAC members hold to a bizarre and unscriptural doctrine called Service for the Departed...

The deceased must fulfil the same conditions as living members of the NAC. They also need to believe in the Apostles of the NAC and to receive baptism, holy sealing and communion. From time to time Chief Apostle unlocks the place of the dead ones. Deceased Apostles can only talk to the dead ones; 'saving' has to be done on earth by living Apostles.

Here are the same heresies taught on the NAC website...

Our celebration of Service for the Departed is in no way contradictory to Old Testament prohibitions against spiritualism and calling up the dead (See Deuteronomy 18:10,11). There is a tremendous difference between necromancy and ministering to souls in eternity. Jesus did not defy biblical prohibition when He went into eternity to minister to souls or when He called Lazarus out of the tomb. These were not acts of darkness or superstition but rather acts of love and compassion. It is love and compassion that motivates us in the Service for the Departed. Souls in eternity need to receive the treasures of Jesus Christ. Their condition is not hopeless. They are not beyond the loving reach of the Lord. He began this ministering in eternity. The Apostles of Christ and believing souls continue it.

Services for the Departed are held on the first Sunday of March, July and November.

In sharp contrast the Bible says... "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27).  2nd Thessalonians 1:8 states... "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power."  There is NOT one Scripture that even remotely indicates that there is hope for the unsaved once they perish into eternity.  Physical Death seals your fate my friend.  Jesus clearly said in John 8:24... "Ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins."  It is abundantly clear from the literal account of the rich man burning in Hell in Luke 16:24-26 that there is NO MERCY upon the unsaved once they die in their sins.  In 1st Thessalonians 4:13, the Apostle Paul contrasts the death of the believer with the death of the unsaved.  Paul encourages the believers at Thessalonica not to sorrow over the death of departed loves ones, because they are in Heaven... "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope."  Notice that Paul refers to the unsaved, i.e., those who die in their sins without Christ, as having NO HOPE!  If you die in your sins, you will be cast into the Lake of Fire forever (Revelation 20:11-15).

Conclusion

New Apostolic Churches are a cult, a false religion of the Devil.  I beg you to leave this godless organization, and follow the Word of God instead... Psalm 118:8, "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."  God gave us the Bible to guide us, as a Lamp in this dark and dreary world of sin and woe.  You don't have to become a victim of religion.  It all boils down to whether you believe the Bible is God's Word or not.  I do!  The very fact that NAC ministers claim the power to intercede on behalf of God in man's salvation is utter sacrilegious blasphemy!  The Holy Spirit comes to indwell every believer at the very moment they believe on Jesus Christ as Savior (Romans 8:9).  Salvation is between man and God, through Jesus Christ alone (1st Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 4:15,16).  The biggest mistake you'll ever make in this lifetime is to trust in men instead of the Words of God.  Phooey on religion, give me the Lord Jesus Christ!
