SDA's False Plan of Salvation
by David J. Stewart
1st Timothy 4:1, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
One of the most deceptive and widespread false cults today is Seventh Day Adventism (SDA). SDA are increasingly becoming quite successful in recruiting new cult members because of their focus on the End Times and prophecy. Unfortunately, SDA is saturated with doctrines of devils.
Like the Jehovah's Witness (JW) demonic cult, so also so SDA's misinterpret the Scriptures by claiming that one day is always equivalent in God's eyes to 1,000 years. Then they crunch a bunch of dates and numbers to fabricate false prophecies that are unbiblical. God never told us to assume that every mention of a “day” in the Bible ought to be interpreted as meaning 1,000 years. That is a demonic doctrine used to distort the Scriptures.
The Bible ALWAYS explains itself when there is symbolism or a parable is told. It is sinful to grasp for straws by calculating dates when Christ will return, or to claim that a prophetic event will happen in a certain year. Jesus said that no one knows THE DAY when Christ will return (Matthew 25:13). JW's teach that Christ returned spiritually in War War I, evidenced by world wars I and II. SDA teach that Christ entered into the heavenly Holy Place in 1844. These are false doctrines. The Bible does NOT give dates. SDA is a dangerous and enticing end time false religion.
2nd Peter 3:8, “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” The Bible is simply teaching that God is not bound by the limits of time. God lives in eternity. God created time and placed mankind into the realm of time. Revelation 10:6 teaches that eventually time will be no more. The context of 2nd Peter 3:8 is concerning the time of the return of Christ, specifically, the Rapture. Whereas the Church eagerly awaits the Lord's return, the Apostle Peter says that God is waiting for men to repent (2nd Peter 3:9). God is just, long-suffering, patient and kind (even to the unthankful and to the evil, Luke 6:35).
Kenneth Cox is a very popular SDA minister televised regularly on TV. Cox teaches a false plan of salvation. According to Cox, the way of salvation is through Jesus Christ; but the deception lies in his view of what it means to come to Christ. According to SDA, a person must make a commitment to Jesus Christ to obey all the Scriptures and live for God. This is their view of what it means to be saved. SDA do not recognize
Unlike Biblical Christianity which teaches that a sinner must be born-again, and is saved the very moment one places their trust in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God; SDA views salvation as a process, which is brought to fruition over time.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
