The Gospel Verses Roman Catholicism
My friend, there is ONLY one way to Heaven and that is through the Lord Jesus
Christ. As you have learned in this presentation, the Roman Catholic Church is
not what it claims nor appears to be. Religion is the worst thing that ever
happened to this world. Religion wants to fit us with glasses, but the Lord
wants to open our eyes.
Roman Catholicism teaches that the Church is the way to Heaven, and that the sacrament of baptism is the door into the church. These false teachings are documented in the official dogma of the Catholic Church as set forth in VATICAN II (1963). In sharp contrast, the Word of God Doesn't teach that the Church is the way of salvation. Peter was NOT the first pope. Catholics believe that Peter was the first pope, which is untrue.
You can ask 100 people what they think about the gospel and get a few dozen different answers. So what actually is the gospel according to the Words of God. If you want to go to Heaven, then here is the gospel...
1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
Jesus DIED, was BURIED and ROSE AGAIN after three days. That is THE GOSPEL. Acknowledge your sinful condition my friend, and believe upon the name of Jesus, the Christ. You will be saved. We are saved by receiving Christ's death, burial and resurrection as payment for our sins. Jesus paid it all. It's not what you're doing that gets you to Heaven, it's where you're looking. Look to Jesus! A gift is offered free (Romans 5:15; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9), you simply receive it.
In Catholicism, the burden of salvation rests upon the sinner, who must observe Seven Sacraments of the Church. The process takes tikes, sometimes months.
To be saved you must acknowledge your guilty, sinful, condition for breaking God's commandments and receive Christ's death, burial and resurrection as payment for your sins by believing on Jesus Christ. Salvation is instant, immediate and free. Salvation is NOT a process. Eternal life is a free gift given on the basis of Christ's redeeming, literal, blood (1st Peter 1:18-19). God's motive in salvation is that He loves us (1st John 3:16). Amen!
The gospel is not turning over a new leaf. The gospel is not making a commitment to Christ, nor is it surrendering one's will to Christ. The gospel is not amending one's ways, nor is it getting baptized in water. The gospel is not saying “Jesus is Lord!” You don't make Jesus Lord, He is Lord. The moment you get saved by faith in Christ, Jesus automatically becomes your Lord and Master, whether you realize it or not. It's like ordering a hotdog. The bun alway comes with it. You don't say, Could I please have a hotdog and a bun. The same is true with salvation. You are saved by believing that Jesus died, was buried and rose again for your sins. You wouldn't be doing anything wrong to ask for Jesus to be your Lord, but it's not necessary for salvation.
Please beware of the Lordship Salvation teaching which corrupts the simplicity of the gospel, errantly teaching that to be saved a person must declare “Jesus is Lord” (Romans 10:9) to be saved. That phrase is based upon a perversion in the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible that corrupts the true meaning of the original Greek. The trustworthy King James Bibles reads, Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” There's a great big difference between confessing “the Lord Jesus” as compared to confessing “Jesus is Lord!” The only things that we must confess to be saved is that we are a guilty sinner and that Jesus died, was buried and rose again to pay for those sins.
If YOU believe that personally as your hope for Heaven, then you're saved. Salvation is that simple. Christ paid a debt that He did not owe, because we owed a debt of sin that we could not pay. If you receive Christ's work of redemption as payment for your sins, then you a4re saved. You have believed upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30-31). You are relying upon Christ to get you to Heaven. The very second that you first believed, the Holy Spirit of God came into your body to INDWELL you and never to leave. In fact, God's Holy Spirit SEALS you, letting the Devil know that you belong to God and can never be lost again. Greater is He that is in you than he (the Devil) who is in the world (1st John 4:4). Amen and amen!
The gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Notice how giant the pope is! Now look how tiny Jesus is on the pope's staff! A picture is worth 1,000 words. Jesus is tiny in Roman Catholicism, because they have religion without truth. They have churchianity without Christianity. Jesus is no longer on the cross. He has risen and is in Heaven seated on the Father's right-hand (Colossians 3:1-3).
