What Hast Thou Done America?

By David J. Stewart

Genesis 4:10, “And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.”

Just as God asked Cain what he had done by shedding Abel's blood, so does God ask America, “What hast thou done?” concerning the millions of innocent people we have killed overseas in Iraq and Afghan. Herod didn't kill any of those children in Matthew 2:16, his henchmen did. Likewise, our government leaders are exploiting America's youth to shed innocent blood. Christian, are you one of Herod's henchmen? Please read the words of author, Laurence M. Vance:

Herod's Henchmen

By Laurence M. Vance | December 25, 2008

"Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men." ~ Matthew 2:16

Christian apologists for the state, its leaders, its military, and its wars are not known for being the most consistent group of religious people. They are, in fact, some of the most inconsistent, hypocritical, duplicitous, two-faced people – religious or irreligious – that one will encounter when it comes to people who defend the state’s military adventures. They may otherwise be good, godly, conservative disciples of Christ who don’t drink, smoke, dance, or gamble, but when it comes to the subjects of war, the military, and U.S. foreign policy, they can turn into crazed warmongers faster than Barack Obama used the word "change" in a campaign speech.

Ignorance greatly abounds, of course. But much of this is willful ignorance. It is one thing to be ignorant, but it is stupid to make a career out of it. Who else of all people should be opposed to war, militarism, nationalism, and imperialism than Christians who claim to believe the Bible, obey its precepts, and worship the Prince of Peace? Yet, it is conservative, evangelical, and fundamentalist Christians who continue to be among the biggest defenders of Bush’s war in Iraq, the U.S. military, and American foreign policy. I know this is the case, not only because they themselves write to me and call me a liberal or a pacifist (I am neither), but because many of them are pastors whose church members write to me because they are so frustrated that their pastor is so blatantly partisan, willingly ignorant, and laughably inconsistent.

We can see the inconsistency of these imperial Christians in – of all places – the Christmas story found in the Gospel of Matthew.

Most people are familiar with the details. Wise men came to King Herod after the birth of Jesus looking for "he that is born King of the Jews" (Matthew 2:2). After finding out from the leaders of the Jews that Christ was to be born in Bethlehem, Herod instructed the wise men to "go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also" (Matthew 2:8). But after finding the Christ child, and after presenting him with gold, frankincense and myrrh, the wise men were "warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod" (Matthew 2:12). Herod, as most rulers – ancient or modern – was a despicable individual. He was guilty of many acts of brutality, including the killing of one of his many wives and some of his children. After Joseph was instructed in a dream to flee into Egypt with the young child and his mother because "Herod will seek the young child to destroy him" (Matthew 2:13), the monster Herod, "when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men" (Matthew 2:16).

Herod did nothing of the kind.

No, I am not a Bible critic who maintains that the "massacre of the innocents" never happened or dismisses it as more hagiography than history.

Herod did nothing of the kind – but his henchmen did. Not only could Herod have not possibly killed all of these children himself; the leaders of the state always rely on their nationalistic and patriotic subjects to do their dirty work.

The first martyrs for Christ were put to death before he was. They were killed by order of the state. But just like Bush and Cheney have not themselves actually killed anyone in Iraq, Herod is likewise not guilty of actually killing any of these young children. Yet, many of the same Christians who maintain that Herod has blood on his hands go out of their way to absolve Bush and Cheney of their war crimes.

Oh, the inconsistency of Christian warmongers! Oh, the inconsistency of Christian apologists for the state and its wars!

Christian, are you one of Herod’s henchmen? Would you commit infanticide if the government told you to do so? Then why did you vote for a man whose motto was "Country First"? Why do you incessantly recite your "obey the powers that be" (Romans 13:1) mantra? Why do you make excuses for the genocide that the United States has unleashed in Iraq? Why do you dismiss bombed Afghan wedding parties as collateral damage? Why do you defend an imperialistic and interventionist U.S. foreign policy? Why do you encourage us to pray for the troops as they mete out death and destruction to Iraqis in a war that has nothing to do with defense of the country? Why do you continue to support the Republican Party in light of that Party’s profligate spending, massive increase in government, mockery of the Constitution, destruction of civil liberties, and open-ended wars? Why do you applaud U.S. soldiers as heroes and defenders of our freedoms when they are neither?

How many Afghan and Iraqi babies and children have been killed by the U.S. military? Sadly, many Christians not only don’t know, they don’t even care.

There are a large number of apostate Baptist ministers, and other religious leaders as well, who teach that Christians are to blindly follow our President and political leaders without any dissent, protest or opposition of any kind (verbal or physical). The first Ten Amendments (changes) which were made to the U.S. Constitution before it was signed into law give us the LEGAL RIGHT to freedom of religion, press, speech, the right to peaceably assemble and to petition our government. Those five inclusions are all part of the First Amendment. The first Ten Amendments are commonly called our BILL OF RIGHTS. Certainly, the Bill of Rights only outlines the God-given rights which we are entitled to by birth as free men.

Would you willingly board the train to Auschwitz? God never intended for us as Christians to submit to criminal government who steal from us, needlessly place our children into harm's way, leave our nation's borders wide open, allow our jobs to be outsourced overseas to slave labor, and claim it is God's will to kill the innocent and steal their natural resources. Unbelievably, the majority of the American people have become so naive that they won't even listen to the few of their elected leaders who are trying to warn them. America is becoming a Police State!

To date, no Weapons of Mass Destruction have ever been found. It's been 9-years since America invade Iraq. Why do we still have troops there? Saddam Hussein was accused of killing 50,000 people; but America has killed 1,421,933 Iraqis since 2002. How did America's intent to remove ONE MAN from power cause the death of 1,455,590 people? Iraq's oil is being stolen and the profits stashed into a Federal Reserve Bank in New York.

"Military men are just dumb stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy."

Donald Rumsfeld was recorded on video tape specifying the areas where the “Weapons of Mass Destruction” were located in Iraq. Watch Fahrenheit 911 to see video footage for yourself. No weapons were ever found! So why did American troops ravish and plunder the nation of Iraq? We have committed a great evil against God and Iraq! I am NOT a fan of Michael Moore, but he is exposing woeful evils which America's churches and patriotic citizens should be doing.

America is responsible for what OUR leaders do in OUR name and with OUR money.

Innocent Blood Crieth From The Ground Unto The Lord

By David J. Stewart

What has America done? We have shed innocent blood. God asked Cain in Genesis 4:10, "...What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground." The blood of the Iraqi victims cry out to God from the ground. Many Americans would prefer to pass the blame upon the Bush administration. Unfortunately, God will hold ALL Americans accountable for the evils committed against Iraq because our government does what they do with THE POWER WHICH WE GIVE THEM.

As of May 2013 the military is advertising the slogan on television, “The Navy: a global force for good.” Is it really good? When you honestly think about it, the word “good” is a relative term, highly subjective to personal prejudice. The truth is that the Navy is at the mercy of the orders it receives from the Pentagon, which is controlled by Wall Street and The White House (aka, the Military Industrial Complex). If the powers in Washington D.C. are evil and corrupt, then the Navy is not a “GOOD” global force. They are indeed “a global force,” but whether or not they are “good” depends on what they do. Certainly, what the Navy did by bombing Iraq wasn't good. The White House deliberately lied, claiming evidence of Weapons Of mass Destruction. What if someone murdered your loved one's in cold blood and claimed bad intelligence? Would you be so quick to let them off the hook and defend them as many people foolishly do the blatant crimes orchestrated by our government. Please read, WHAT HAST THOU DONE AMERICA?

Americans are so sinfully proud and arrogant. Just because we say that abortion is good doesn't make it good. Abortion is evil murder. Just because we say that same-sex marriage is good doesn't make it good. Homosexuality is disgusting wickedness and hard core evil. It's lust not love! Children are at risk around homosexuals, in many ways. Sin City Las Vegas is evil to the core, as bad as can be; yet we say it is good and tens-of-millions of tourists flock to commit sin annually in Vegas. What HAPPENS in Vegas is RECORDED in Heaven! The Navy is NOT “a global force for good” as they claim; but rather, a force for the Masonic-Zionist behind-the-scene powers controlling the U.S. government. THE WORST GANGSTERS OF THE 20TH CENTURY!

I'm not saying that the Navy is evil. I'm not saying that serving in the military is evil. I AM saying that the Navy (military) is under orders, and therefore the Navy is only as GOOD as the orders which they are legally and contractually obligated (under penalty of life in a military prison) to comply with. As they say... in the military you don't volunteer, you are VOLUNTOLD what to do! Shut up and comply or else! That's why police departments like to hire former military, that is, because they are yes-men who do as they're told (like drug-trafficking fake hero Oliver North), people who don't question authority. Such blind obedience is what cults and abusive organizations are made of.

I've learned in life that there are two evil extremes to which men go: 1) total blind obedience which always results in wicked abuse of power over followers; and 2) those who always challenge authority and are rebellious, anarchists and wicked. Therefore, initially I am always on the side of authority. Yet, we have a right as citizens (or members of a religious organization) to ask questions and scrutinize what authority does. It is our business if we're paying their salary. I am against the philosophy that it is wicked to question one's pastor. No, you are paying his bills. You have a right to inquire about his beliefs, duties, words, actions and job performance. It is human-nature to abuse power over others. Big government is always bad, leading to oppression and tyranny. Central government is a denial of faith in God, expecting big government to care for us instead of God.
