The US military is
developing a weapon that delivers a bout of excruciating pain from afar to
use against protesters and rioters.
Documents released under the US Freedom of Information Act show that scientists have received funding to investigate how much pain can be induced in individuals hit by electromagnetic pulses created by lasers without killing them.
Due to be ready for use in 2007, the Pulsed Energy Projectile weapon is designed to trigger extreme pain from a distance of one-and-a-quarter miles.
It fires a laser pulse that generates a burst of expanding plasma - electrically charged gas - when it hits something solid. Tests on animals showed it produced "pain and temporary paralysis".
Pain researchers told today's New Scientist magazine that the technology could end up being used for torture and that it was unethical.
Andrew Rice, a consultant in pain medicine in London, said: "I am deeply concerned about the ethical aspects of this research." END

I am alarmed at much of the news I am reading lately. America is in serious hot-water! Folks, we are losing our rights! The Bill of Rights gives us the LEGAL right to assemble and protest our government. The city of Seattle in 1999 violated our Bill of Rights by blocking off a fifty block area of the city, designating it as a "no protest zone!" This type of anti-American behavior by our politicians is criminal. What right do they have to tell us we cannot protest in certain PUBLIC areas?
Sadly, most Christians think it's wrong to protest against the government. Yet they enjoy the freedoms gained by our founding fathers who not only protested the government, they overthrew the government! They were tired of being ABUSED! When our government starts using pulsed energy projectile weapons against peaceful CITIZENS who are exercising their right to PROTEST...we are living in a police state.
Peaceful protestors all across America have been brutalized by the thugs who have have become our lords (all in the name of "Homeland Security"). We are living in dark times, Christians and patriots will eventually be killed (John 16:2, "They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.") It will be like the Gulags once again...while children play in the streets and adults go about their daily lives as normal...15% of American citizens...Christians, patriots and constitutionalists...will be imprisoned...labeled as "terrorists."
Those Christians who vehemently stand up AGAINST homosexuality will be arrested for hate speech and locked away indefinitely. Already, people are being tasered to death, beaten, assaulted, forced to give blood, tortured, etc. Ask Michael Marcavage of www.RepentAmerica.com about the police chief (Daniel Kortan) who slammed him up against an elevator wall and assaulted him just for quoting a Scripture against homosexuality at a PUBLIC council meeting. Folks, the heathen world is beginning to hate us Christians! And the more society tries to make the homosexual sodomites feel at home, the more they're going to persecute us for preaching GOD'S WORD. In case you haven't figured out, the Bible is considered "hate speech" by more and more people every day.
Congressman Ron Paul is a friend to the American people. He says that restrictions on travel are the hallmark of a totalitarian police sate. Well, the National ID Card will do just that. If you don't have "your papers please!," then you won't be allowed to travel. We are losing our rights. We should all say "NO!" to accepting the National ID Card. We should all fight to preserve the freedoms which God has given us. Freedom isn't free and if we don't defend America from the tyrants within, our children will be born into a police state.
God's people need to fulfill 2nd Chronicles 7:14 by humbling themselves, praying, seeking God's face, and turning from their wicked sins. If God's people will repent and turn to God, America would be saved. Unfortunately, most believers seem to think that going to church and telling a few people about the Lord is all that is expected of them. It is our duty as believers to HATE EVIL (Psalm 97:10). The reason so many believers don't hate evil is because they're either too busy making money or else have been desensitized by sin... they are sleeping!
