church many years ago, on our bus route, which goes...

What a needful truth for these dark days of compromise and sin. David said in Psalm 1:1-4, "Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away."
Perhaps you've heard the saying, "You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything." That's a good statement; but here's a much better one ... "I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved" (Psalm 16:8). Do you have Jesus Christ as your Savior by your side? Have you anchored yourself to the Word of God as David did? Many people in this sinful world take a stand for things which are frivolous, temporary, and of no eternal value. Most people stand for nothing, and are complacently indifferent.
Please don't misunderstand me, I think it's great that people take a stand against certain things, such as the evil war in Iraq. I'm against the whole ordeal, and thank God for sensible men like Congressman Ron Paul who has written hundreds of inspiring articles trying to wake people up (web search: "Ron Paul archives"). We should all take a stand against evil. It is not only our Christian duty, but also our patriotic duty.
I am inexorably (not capable of being swayed or diverted from a course; unsusceptible to persuasion) on God's side! I am inexorably against the agendacized wickedness of our generation. I am hated by many people around the world because I have taken God's side in highly controversial issues. I am diametrically and inexorably opposed to the evil homosexual agenda, the evil abortion agenda, the evil feminist agenda, the evil world government agenda, the evil religious ecumenical movement agenda, et cetera. A genuine man of God takes God's side in a controversy! I am on the Lord's side...
Joshua 24:15, “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
It seems evil to many ingrates
today to serve God. Take for example, super famous singer
SHAKIRA,
who blasphemes God and maliciously attacks Him in her music, accusing God of
being selfish and not caring about anybody except Himself.
Jesus is the Only Rock!
David said, "I shall not be moved." What tremendous words! The Hebrew word for "moved" in Psalm 62:6 is "mowt" which means "to slip, drop, overthrow, or be greatly shaken." In other words, David is saying that God won't fail him in the end, and David is going to continue to trust the Lord no matter what happens. This is exactly what we are promised as believers in Romans 8:28. God promises that all things will "work together for good." It doesn't say that all things will "be good." No one likes to eat flour by itself, or baking powder, or yeast, or salt, or sugar, or oil; but, when you mix all those ingredients together--you have a delicious pastry to eat.
Likewise, God promises that all of the bad events in our life will somehow work out for good in His divine plan. David tells us "why" he won't be moved when he declares, "He only is my rock." Of course, that "Rock" is Jesus (1st Peter 2:7,8). David took a stand against Goliath because of David's faith in the God of Israel. As Christians today, our attitude should be the same as David's ... "I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved" (Psalm 16:8).
As believers, we should take a stand against evil (Psalm 94:16; Ephesians 5:11), because that is what God wants us to do!Jesus said in Matthew 12:36 that men shall give account for every idle word. That means that we'll all have to explain why we didn't speak up when we were supposed to, or decided to talk about everything except the redeeming Savior who forgives men's sins and save their souls. Many believers will walk the streets of glory, telling such a sad, sad story, having never led any souls to Jesus Christ.
Unfortunately, many people who take a stand against evil, such as abortion, are not true Christians. I'm glad that they are fighting against the evils of murderous abortion; but, they're NOT trusting upon the Lord for salvation. Catholics are strong opponents against abortion; yet, they idolize Mary, pray to statues, trust in sacraments, and have added all sorts of works to faith alone in Jesus Christ. They are unbelievers, brainwashed by religion. Catholics are trusting upon the Catholic religion to save them, and NOT Christ the Solid Rock. Therefore, they will be moved into Hell when they leave this earth. They will slip into eternity without Christ, and drop into Hell's fire! So sad!
There is coming a day when the Stone cut out without hands will fall upon this earth, and destroy the New World Order which is now forming (Daniel 2:34). That Stone is Jesus, who will return to clean up this mess. Today, you and I can fall (trust) on this Stone, and those who fall on it will be saved. Jesus stated in Matthew 21:44, "And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder." Are you on this Rock?Whosoever falls on this Rock shall be saved (Romans 10:13). This is what Paul meant when he said in 1st Corinthians 3:11, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." The hallmark character trait of David was his trust upon the Lord, whom David called "my rock." David committed many sins as an imperfect man; but David never forsook his faith in God. David stands out in history as a great man of faith, and is listed amongst several other heroes of the faith in Hebrews 11 (vs. 32).
David's life was falling apart because of his sins of adultery, murder and arrogant pride. Even though David had later repented, the damage was done. His newborn son died. David's children and wives turned against him. David was driven from his own kingdom in fear for his life. David's servants turned against him. Absalom was dead. Jerusalem was in turmoil. The people had turned against him, casting rocks and dirt upon him as he passed by. Yet David said, "He only is my rock. He is the One I am trusting" (Psalm 13).
When everything was going wrong, David held onto his faith in God, saying, "I am on the Rock!" David had learned that glorious lesson, "He only is my rock and my salvation..." David's sole faith for eternal life was upon his Savior. If you'd like to go to Heaven, then you must ONLY trust Jesus, because of the blood that He shed for your sins and mine (John 14:6; 1st Peter 1:18,19). David said that Jesus was his ONLY salvation.
This is exactly what Acts 4:10-12 proclaims, "Be it known unto you all, and
to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man
stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought
of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is
there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven
given among men, whereby we must be saved." If you've trusted Jesus
Christ to forgive your sins and take you to Heaven, then you will not slip
down that slippery slope into Hell.
Anchor Yourself to the Word of God!
We are living in the End Times. These are the "perilous times" warned of in 2nd Timothy 3:1-7, when men would be lovers of their own selves. Winds of heresy are blowing all around us. Lightning bolts of temptation are everywhere. Clouds of darkness are gathering quickly overhead. Never before has there been such a need for Christians to anchor themselves to the Word of God during these stormy times (Psalm 1).
Occult psychic influences like John Edwards, Char Margolis, and Sylvia Browne abound everywhere. False prophets like Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, Pat Robertson, Oral Roberts, and the entire Charismatic mess are an evil plague upon mankind. The cesspool of Government crimes is unprecedented in U.S. history, being blatantly committed right before our eyes with no shame whatsoever (stealing, killing, mass-murdering, treason, conspiracy, lying, false witness, covetousness, shedding innocent blood, pride, evil inventions, etc). People are so blinded nowadays to the truth. Sexual depravity is worldwide, flowing like sewage out of Europe and the U.S. New Agers, like Oprah Winfrey, are influencing millions of people with Satanic lies. Oprah alone receives upwards of 20,000,000 visitors per day watching her show.
On and on the list of evil goes, from Harry Potter's witchcraft, to Christianity Today's sinful endorsement of Harry Potter's witchcraft! We are living in apostate times! Who could have imagined homosexual churches, with homosexual pastors? Even worse, a Southern Baptist Church in Tennessee called an ordained lesbian to be their pastor. 37% of the occult Freemasonry membership in the U.S. is composed of Southern Baptists! It is evident that these folks are not anchored to the Word of God! They are adrift at see, tossed about in the storms of life, with no Lighthouse to guide them. Thank God, for Jesus is the Lighthouse! David had purposed in his heart to meditate in God's Word.
Do you know why David was called "a man after God's own heart"? It was because David was a man after God's own mind, "And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved" (Psalm 119:47). David loved the Word of God!!! I cannot begin to tell you just how many professed "Christians" I have known, who can't seem to break off the conversation fast enough when I start talking about the Bible. If you want to get rid of any annoying people, just start talking about the Word of God and watch them flee. I've met very few Christians in my lifetime who loved the Bible enough to enjoy talking about It.
You can't have God's heart unless you also have God's mind, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 2:5). So many people are blinded nowadays because they DON'T love the truth as David did. Even many believers have been duped by Satan. Why aren't more believers speaking out against homosexuality? Why aren't more believers speaking out against the damnable Catholic religion? Why have most believers become silent concerning abortion? I was so saddened when I heard Jack Van Impe calling Pope John Paul II one of the greatest men of the 20th century.
How could any professed "Christian" speak so highly of a heretic who led billions of people into Hell? So many believers continue to vote Republican, thinking that their candidate is against abortion. What a joke! George W. Bush is an occult inspired monster; yet so many believers voted for him in IGNORANCE, and many in willing ignorance. The Bush Administration gave billions of dollars to Planned Parenthood during his administration (the number one abortion provider in the US). You couldn't pay me to vote Republican nor Democrat. You need to vote for either the Constitutional Party or Libertarian.
Until the Republicans and Democrats are out of office, our nation will continue to go downhill under the control of a gang of thug criminals, who have stolen trillions-of-dollars from U.S. taxpayers and are exploiting our young people to police DOZENS of nations. Many of our youth are coming back in body bags. The United States is the ONLY nation that has troops policing other nations. Why? I'll tell you why, it's because The Council On Foreign Relations has taken control over America through the greedy corporations and is exploiting Americans financially, turning our children into paid mercenaries (under the pretense of securing freedom), and exploiting us in every other way to bring to fruition a Global government, aka, a New World Order. The U.S. was designed from its inception to be a vehicle by which to achieve a New World Order.
2nd Thessalonians 2:8-10 tells us that the antichrist will deceive multitudes because they don't love the truth, "And then shall that Wicked be revealed ... Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved." These people will slip away into Hell forever. I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for shedding His blood for my sins, and for saving a wretched sinner like me nearly 30 years ago. What a Precious Savior!
