Thank you for responding because lately I have had some real issues with thinking God is punishing me. I was cheated on by my wife, which we are now divorced, she has 50% custody. I have had financial problems. Health problems so I have been questioning is there really a God, if so why is he letting me suffer so much? and live through this tough time. Did I do something so bad to deserve this? I never cheated. I've always worked and provided for my family. I've always tried to be a positive role model to my kids. How could a God that is so good punish a person who has done nothing wrong? And by no means am i saying im perfect because i will be the first to admit I am a sinner. My two Daughters are innocent little Girls who miss and want to be with me Why is God punishing them? What did they do so wrong to deserve this? And my ex-wife is now living with her boyfriend, and gets awarded all in Court and goes on living her new life and winning all. Where is God? Please don't think i want to be back with her because i don't. I just want to know how God justifies this.

So many Americans today are asking the same question... "Where is God?" After reading the above letter, I was immediately reminded of Gideon in Judges chapter 6, who asked the same question... "Where is God?"
In Judges 6:13 we read...
"And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites."
Gideon was frustrated. The Midianites were taking Israel's food and afflicting them. We read in Judges 6:2,4-7...
"And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds ... And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass. For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it. And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD. And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of the Midianites."
This is where America is at today. Times are getting tough for Americans, and they will only get much worse. Our nation is in an emergency condition of Code Blue spiritually, economically, morally, educationally, environmentally, and in The White House. Many sincere Americans are asking, as did Gideon, where is God? Why can't I find a decent job? Why did my wife cheat on me and file for divorce? Why are my kids so rebellious? Why is everyone so greedy? Why so many lawsuits? Well my friend, the answer is found in God's Word, in Judges 6:1...
"And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years."
You see my friend, God was punishing Israel for her sins AS A NATION. Judges 6: 1 says, "And the children of Israel DID EVIL IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD..." Gideon failed to see the big picture, as do many sincere folks today. We Americans have a distorted view of reality. We think that we can live in open and unrepented sin and still secure God's blessings upon our nation. It doesn't work that way. You can't permit homosexual marriages and actually expect God to bless America! You can't rename one of our biggest cities "SIN CITY" (for people to come sin in), and then reasonably expect God to bless America! You can't murder tens-of-millions of innocent children by abortion and then honestly boast... "IN GOD WE TRUST." How hypocritical can we be? Americans may trust in goods or greed; but certainly not in the God of the Bible (who is the only true and living God).
The Consequences of Sin
We read in Exodus 20:4-5...
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me."
What does God mean when He says, "...visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me." We read in Ezekiel 18:20...
"The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."
In Exodus 20:4-5 God did NOT mean that He would punish the children and their children because of the sins of their forefathers. Ezekiel 18:20 makes this clear. God never punishes children for the sins of the parents; but, the consequences of the parent's sins often afflict the children. What God did mean in Exodus 20:4,5 is simply that our sins will hurt the next generation, and likely generations to come. Americans are paying today for the sins of our fathers who allowed the Federal Reserve scam to begin in 1913. As a consequence, American taxpayer are in debt for nearly $10,000,000,000,000 to the privately owned Federal Reserve. There is no smelling rot in America any more putrid than the Federal Reserve Bank (which is nether federal, nor has any reserve).
America's marriages are failing, and divorce is commonplace, because of the evil influences of Rock 'N' Roll and Playboy magazine (pornography). These two evils have demonically inspired the Feminist Movement, Sexual Liberation and the consequent Abortion Industry.
In April of 2006, I saw angry Muslims rioting, smashing out windows, and completely destroying a new Playboy office in Indonesia. It made my day! I couldn't help but wonder what America would be like today, if Christians had reacted the same way back in 1953 when pervert, Hugh Hefner, first opened the doors of Playboy. It is tragic that unsaved Muslims, who don't know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, actually have more morality than most born again Christians in America. I don't agree with Muslim abuses; BUT, the Muslims come closer to being right than most Christians do in our American culture concerning morality. America's rebellious, feminist, and immodestly dressed women are a cancer in our society. I admire Muslim women who wear head coverings, and obey their husbands. I wish every Playboy office and magazine were gone forever. One day the Lord is going to clean this mess up. What a day that will be!
Would to God that The Beatles had never come to America in 1964. They were Communists, and praised the U.S.S.R. in their heathen music. It was Vladimir Lenin who said, "The best revolutionary is a youth devoid of morals." The Beatles were Communist revolutionaries, who greatly contributed to making rebellion and sexual immorality mainstream in America. The Beatles promoted substance abuse, fornication, rebellion, and inspired a generation to live in woeful sin. Their hellish influence still strangles America today like a malignant tumor.
America's biggest corporations have relocated their operations overseas to exploit slave labor, avoid environmental laws, eliminate unions, and escape paying taxes. As a result, American citizens cannot find a decent job anymore. Meanwhile insurance premiums continue to skyrocket, and health coverage declines. Real Estate costs have soared 1500% in recent decades. A home that would have cost you $20,000 in 1970 sells for $300,000 today! Yet real wages have only doubled in that time. Social Security is guaranteed to go bankrupt in the years to come. Fewer and fewer parents can afford a college education for their children, and are being forced to take out home-equity loans, work longer hours, or just forget college all together.
American mothers are being forced into the workplace, because it's becoming increasingly difficult to survive on one income. Our FIAT money is literally worthless, only worth what the Federal Reserve wants it to be worth. Legitimate money has tangible intrinsic value, literally worth its value in precious metals. We've been suckered in America. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney warned the American people in 2006 that the criminals who are controlling our nation are hollowing out the economy (and they certainly are). Why do you think our dollar is falling like a rock in value? The American people are being lied to horribly. FoxNews is the king of liars in the media.
God, prayer, and the Bible were BANNED from the public school system in 1962/1963. Though some people would argue differently, no teacher can legally promote prayer or Bible reading in the U.S. Public school system. The argument that kids are still free to bring a Bible or pray is bogus, because the school system itself FORCES the lies of Evolution on children, as well as the homosexual agenda. Only a complete moron or total God-hater would embrace the idiocy of Evolution. For anyone to believe, as Walt Disney's History Channel teaches, that the entire universe physically exploded (i.e., a BIG BANG) into existence 13.3 billion years ago, from a single particle smaller than an atom, is the height of deliberate ignorance. 2nd Peter 3:5, "For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water."

Conclusion
America is suffering the consequences of sin today, and our children will pay the consequences, as will their children. Gideon was frustrated because of the consequences of sin which had befallen his nation. Many Americans, such as the gentleman who sent me the earlier e-mail, are frustrated and ask, "Where is God?" Why is this happening to me and my loved ones? To you I say, America is beginning to suffer the justly deserved consequences of our sins as a nation. It is known as "Corporate Responsibility." Every American has the blood of those 655,000 innocent Iraqi victims on our hands. We are a nation of murderers!
We murder our babies! We murdered Terri Schiavo! We murdered millions of Cambodians during the Nixon administration! We are a murderous nation, inspired by murderous movies, which are made by murderous people. Likewise, we are an adulterous nation, inspired by adulterous movies, which are made by adulterous people. Woe unto America! Isaiah 6:5, "Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts."
Even the best of Christians in America are going to suffer the consequences which our nation's sins have brought upon ourselves. The Christian man who trusts upon the Lord is not exempt from these consequences. As a result, many Christian men are trying to figure out why they can't find a decent job, or why his wife ran off with another man (or woman), or why he just can't seem to make financial ends meet. Greedy televangelists, and many of America's apostate pastors, have taught people to pursue health, wealth, and prosperity from God, in the midst of a nation which has spit in God's holy face.
It doesn't work that way, as Gideon learned. Increasingly, Christians are going to SUFFER; not only because of a faltering economy, a sexually perverted society, government crimes, and the apostasy of our time, but also because of the anti-Christian sentiment in America. Increasingly, sin-fighting Christians are hated today in America as if they were terrorists. Dark times are ahead for the world's Christians who refuse to hide their light under a bushel.
So as the problems in your life increase, and things get worse, keep your eyes on the big picture. Look at the mess America has become today. It is impossible that God-fearing Christians won't be adversely affected by the wickedness of our day. Christians are going to be required one day to receive the Mark of the Beast, in a cashless society in order to buy or sell, and we will say "No!" The last I read in the news, National ID Cards will be required for Americans beginning in 2009. The New World Order is here folks, and every believer needs to understand the times we are living in.
The Lord's return surely must be soon, as six world powers have fallen, and one remains... "And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition" (Revelation 17:10,11). At the writing of Revelation, Rome was the 6th world empire, but fell in the 5th century A.D. There have been six world powers since time began: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. There are no world powers today, only super powers (such as the U.S., China, and Russia). The New World Order will be the 7th world power, and final, with the Antichrist taking control as the 8th, who is of the seven according to Revelation 17:11.
Let your heart be encouraged. The return of the Lord, i.e., the Pretribulation Rapture, is certainly nearer than ever before. Amen and amen!
Only one life 'twill soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last.
