Trusting God
By David J. Stewart
Here's food for thought. I also have numerous perplexing questions. Biblically, I think it's safe to say that over 95% percent of mankind is going to Hell in their sins without Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:13,14). But then when I think of the 400,000,000 aborted babies worldwide over the past 35 years, and the fact that 95% of them would have went to Hell anyway, it actually makes abortion look the best thing that ever happened to 95% of those children. All babies go to Heaven I believe. God certainly couldn't send them to Hell and still be a just God. Children are not accountable to God until they become AWARE of their sinfulness. So when you look at the reality of this situation, abortion is the best thing in the world for all of those children who otherwise would have rejected Christ and went to Hell. This is a deep thought and hard to fathom. Is abortion then a good thing? I know I'd much rather be denied the right to live then spend all eternity burning in the flames of Hell. This is a difficult truth to grasp; BUT, God said in Exodus 20:13, "Thou shalt not kill." So it is a matter of trusting God in the areas we cannot understand, and there are MANY.
It is interesting that God planted the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden. God gave them their only opportunity to sin and mess up. This teaches us that even when we are closest to God, He will lay potential stumbling blocks in our path TO TEST us. That doesn't sound like much of a friend does it? Yet, who are we to place God on trial and judge him by our sinful, finite and feeble understanding. I often think of Isaiah 55:8,9...
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
The unsaved world demands proof from God...

But we as believers trust God in spite of any doubts we may have, which is faith.
