It Shall Be Well With Them That Fear God
By David J. Stewart | April 2009
Ecclesiastes 8:12, “Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him.”
We are living in sinful times like never before. It is so sad. Sodom would have been a nice place to live compared to America today. Pictured to the right is Ellen DeGeneres who hates Bible-believing Christians, whom she calls . . .
“evil, idiotic, so-called God-loving people who use the Bible to justify their hate.”

So according to Ellen, anyone who teaches from the Holy Bible that homosexuality is a sin is evil and idiotic, trying to justify hate. It is Ellen who is hateful against God's Word. John 3:20, "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved." Ellen is a child of the Devil. I do not hate Miss DeGeneres, not at all, for she is a soul that Jesus died for and loves. Christians must never hate sinners, for that is what we are too—sinners saved by God's undeserving grace.
Ecclesiastes 8:12 assures us as Christians that even though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and their days be prolonged, they will suffer in eternity. Their sinful pride and arrogance will cease. They will no longer mock God, glorify sin nor persecute Christians. "The name of the wicked shall rot" (Proverb 10:7). I hurt for those people, but they are digging their own eternal grave by unbelief.
It will be well with them who love and fear the Lord. Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Psalm 36:1, "The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes." Proverb 8:13, "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate." God hates the evil way, which includes homosexuality.
American Society Has Gone to Hell Morally!
I've suffered from painful herniated disks in my neck for the past 5-years, and I need to take pain medication regularly. I hope to get surgery soon. They installed one of those giant plasma TV screens in the waiting room of the doctor's office a few months ago. Recently I complained because they were showing famous celebrity murders. I told the receptionist that I was offended by what they were showing on TV.
The last thing a person in agonizing pain wants to see is blood-stained walls and hear people screaming on 911 calls. It was really sick. What is wrong with people these days that they enjoy watching garbage like that? People are so far from God. It's bad enough that the daily news is filled with so much tragic news. No wonder violence is increasing in America. Christians ought not watch violent shows on television.
Anyway, the receptionist changed the station to the Food Network. Rachael Ray came on promoting “Sin City” Las Vegas, showing a bunch of whores doing gymnastics with their underwear exposed, and boasting of all the sinful glamour of “Sin City.” I was so disgusted by their glorification of sin. You can't even watch a cooking program anymore without the Devil putting a bunch of filth and temptation in your face. It makes me angry as a Christian. I got up and walked to the other side of the waiting room. Rachael Ray is living for the Devil, working for a heathen company, and is in trouble with God for making light of wickedness. Las Vegas is a disgrace to America. Every website that promotes “Sin City” Las Vegas promotes immoral topless dancing, strip clubs, pornography, prostitutes and fornication. Las Vegas is of the Devil.
I pray for God to curse America, because we deserve nothing less. Why should God bless a nation that commits so much sin, openly, with no remorse nor shame? Sadly, I even heard a Lutheran pastor say he was organizing a trip, was going to drive the bus himself, and take his congregation to Las Vegas. Why would any pastor take his congregation to “Sin City”? There is no fear of God before their eyes. Oh, that the Lord would return today!
There are tens-of-thousands of American celebrities and entertainers, in music and acting, who have lived their lives in shame—glorifying sin, living in adultery, cursing in God's name, indulging in substance abuse, dressing immodestly, promoting false religion, denying the Bible, walking in the lusts of the flesh, and denying the power of God unto salvation (which is the Gospel of Jesus Christ). Americans idolize these wicked people, making them filthy rich, and wishing they could be like them. Few people care about the bible anymore. It has become a novelty that can be taken or left alone, not to be taken seriously. Well, the Bible is more than just a Book, it is God's inspired and preserved Words. The great need of this hour in America is the preaching of the Word of God.

Harmful Fear That Leads to Anger, Hate and Suffering
Most people are familiar with director George Lucas' legendary Star Wars saga. Although the film series is secular and promotes the New Age philosophy of “The Force” (Daniel 11:38), there are some truths taught in the series. In the first film in the series, titled The Phantom Menace, the statement is made by Yoda to young Anakin Skywalker: “Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. And hate leads to suffering.” I would agree with that statement. If you fear the wrong things in life, it can lead to anger and hate, and cause much needless suffering. People often fear the wrong things.
I once heard a preacher define the word “fear” with the acronym, “False Evidence Appearing Real.” I like that and never forgot it. We often overthink a situation and create worries that don't actually exist. Lord knows that I've done it oftentimes. Literally, 19 out of 20 things that we worry about, never happen! The opposite of fearing getting into trouble is to do right! If you keep the law, then you don't have to fear it. If you obey God, then you don't have to fear Him. If you pay your bills as agreed upon with the debtor, then you have nothing to fear. It is true that we have nothing to fear in life but fear itself, if we are living right and obeying God.
Granted, some fears are justified. Any normal person would be afraid to walk down a dark alley in a rough neighborhood. A man recently advised me to tell my web visitors on my salvation page, that it is a sin to worry, so you shouldn't worry that you may not be saved, because it is a sin. I kindly wrote him back and explained that I disagree with his opinion, because there is a doctrinal problem if someone doubts their salvation. It is cruel to tell someone who is afraid they might not be saved, to just get over it and stop insulting God and sinning by worrying. That is only a quick fix patch to a serious underlying problem. If you don't know with complete confidence, that you are saved and on your way to Heaven my friend, it is only because you do not understand the clarity of the Gospel. It is the clarity of the Gospel that makes it easy for people to be saved.
The false teaching of Lordship Salvation is confusing millions of people around the world. The heresy of Lordship Salvation is based upon manmade repentance, and not Biblical repentance. Biblical repentance is “a change of mind,” a change of mind from wrong thoughts to believing the Gospel to be saved. But Lordship Salvation heretics add to the Gospel, saying that you must turn away from your sinful bad habits to be saved. This is manmade repentance, or self-reformation!!! In true salvation, it is the indwelling Holy Spirit Who changes a person, which the Holy Bible calls the “fruit of the Spirit” (Galatians 5:22-23).
I have received countless e-mails from people who testified of suffering through fear, anger and hatred toward God, because after hearing Evangelist Ray Comfort and Dr. John MacArthur teach that you have to turn away from sins to be saved, they felt unsaved because no matter how hard they tried, they still lived in sin. But then they found my website, and learned the truth from God's Word that you don't have to do anything to be saved, except BELIEVE the Gospel. You don't have to fear going to Hell, because God has given us a way of escape, through faith in the Gospel (Good News) of Christ's DEATH on the cross for our sins, His BURIAL, and His bodily RESURRECTION three days later 1st Corinthians 15:1-4). We are saved by submitting to God's righteousness, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 10:3-4; Philippians 3:9). What a precious Savior!!!
It Shall Be Well With Them That Fear God
Billions of people in this world have no fear of God. They reject His Word, despise the Bible and only care about what's best for them. It is extremely rare these days to find a genuine born-again Christian who loves God, lives by the Word, and is serious about winning lost souls to Jesus Christ with the Gospel. Most professed Christians are fakes, having churchianity without Christianity. Most people are carnally-minded and couldn't care less about the things of God. It is these same people who glorify sin, praise the wicked, bear false witness against the innocent, have no gratitude and are self-righteous hypocrites. The Bible says it shall be well with them that fear God.
The wicked will continue to prosper in this sinful world, because men are evil, but their days are numbered. A man may live in the pleasures of sin for a hundred years, but he has an appointment with death and "after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27b). Isaiah 13:11, "And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible." Gay parades will be no more. Gay pride will be cast into Hell. Every feminist will bow in submission to a masculine God (the Father and the Son). Every stripper will be stripped of her rebellion and sinful pride. Every false accuser will be justly accused before God. No one is going to get away with anything. Matthew 12:36, "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." How much more will God judge evildoers! It will be a glorious day when every preacher throughout history will be vindicated, when the wicked are silenced and punished for their evil. The wicked may laugh and scoff for the time being, but their damnation is imminent.
Ecclesiastes 11:9, "Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment."
Christians often suffer and live in poverty in this world, but the Lord is preparing a mansion for us in Heaven (John 14:1-3). This earth is the only Hell Christians will ever suffer, and the only Heaven the unsaved will ever enjoy. Live it up, eat, drink and be merry, but the day of judgment is coming! If you die in your sins, you will go to Hell forever. If you die in the Lord, then you are one of the few people in this world to find the gate which leadeth unto life. Matthew 7:14, "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
All the money, prestige, pleasure and power in this earthly world cannot go with you beyond the grave. You can't take it with you. What you can take with you is souls, i.e., the souls of people you've led to the Lord with the Gospel (the good news of Christ crucified). You can take changed lives with you (if they've been changed for the Lord Jesus Christ). You cannot take accumulated financial wealth or material possessions with you. They will go to someone else to enjoy. Will you take anything with you to the grave? Most people don't even have Jesus when they go into the ground. When they lower your casket into the grave, where will you be then? Will you be in Heaven with the Lord, or be tormented in the flames of Hell with the rich man in Luke 16:19-31. The choice is yours alone to make.
Proverb 28:4, “They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.”
Ye Must Be Born Again!
You Need HIS Righteousness!

it was those that had

while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
