John 3:3, "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ."
The Bible
speaks of the simplicity that is in Christ (2nd Corinthians 11:3-4). The
Bible was meant to be simple. Salvation is simple. Those who would be wise
in this world are fools in God's eyes. The humble man receives the truth of
God's Word and simply rests in Christ's righteousness. We are saved by
Jesus' righteousness, which is solely by faith in Him (Acts 10:43).
The Bible is complicated to those who don't believe.
