2nd Timothy 4:3-4, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
Look at verse three. For the time will come—and I believe it already has arrived—The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. But after their own lusts will they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears. They want their ears to be tickled! And they'll turn away their ears from hearing the truth, and be turned unto fables! We're living in a time when people want to be entertained, and they don't want to hear the Bible, and very few churches anymore are teaching the Bible; and therefore, most people are open to exposure to whatever false teachings might be presented them. And the Bible warns us—Don't be gullible! Don't believe every spirit! Test out what you're hearing against the Bible. That means—test me, test everybody! Don't trust anyone. The Word of God is the only source of truth!

Here's is one of my favorite verses, and hopefully it will become one of yours too. If anyone speaks contrary to the Word of God concerning Jesus Christ and the Gospel, it evidences that they are not saved...
Isaiah 8:20, “To the law [Gods Law] and to the testimony [God's testimony]: if they [any person] speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.”
The Light is the Gospel (Good News) of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and resurrected three days later for our justification (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).
Isaiah 9:2, “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”
What an awesome passage of Scripture!!! Anytime someone goes against the Word of God, you know that there is NO LIGHT IN THEM! The light is the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Hence, we know that there is no Light in the Roman Catholic Church. We know that there is no Light in the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) religion, who adhere to a Lordship Salvation type of belief system. There is a fine line between salvation and damnation! Oh, how the wicked and lost world today needs the GLORIOUS LIGHT OF THE GOSPEL!!!
Without the preaching of the Gospel, there is no hope. Satan has very effectively blinded the world from seeing the Gospel. It's our duty as born-again believers to PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE! Mark 16:15, “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
The next Bible verse is beautiful, showing that God understands our stubborn human nature. ...
Isaiah 48:4, “Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass.”
The word “Obstinate” means resistant to guidance. It means stubbornly persistent in wrongdoing. Yet, God unconditionally loves mankind and has made a way of escape from Hell, fire and damnation. Romans 5:9, “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
Satan intentionally offers umpteen substitutes in place of the glorious LIGHT OF THE GOSPEL. ...
2nd Corinthians 4:3-5, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.”
Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. Hundreds-of-thousands of churches across the planet meet each week to worship, sing, tithe, fellowship, eat food, and go thru all the motions. They have religion without regeneration. They have churchianity without Christianity.
