First, Mr. Hefner had his OWN definition of “sin,” which was very
different than God's definition. According to Hugh, sin is only something that
hurts another person. The Holy Bible defines sin as the transgression of God's
law. 1st John 3:4, “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:
for sin is the transgression of the law.” One
of the Ten Commandments is not to commit adultery, which includes all sexual
sins. Fornication is included in the sin of adultery. Colossians 3:5-6
identifies numerous sexually deviant behaviors as sin.
Colossians 3:5-6, “Mortify therefore your members which are
upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil
concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the
wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience. In the
which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.” Hugh
was a fool to redefine “sin” to justify his sexual immorality, which he didn't
consider a sin. Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a
man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
Second, Hugh said, and I quote, “I'm a pretty moral guy. Now it's
morality as I perceive it.” You see, Hugh has his own book and rules that
he lives by, instead of God's Book and Laws. According to U.S. laws, you can
legally divorce your spouse, have an abortion, marry a homosexual, and then
adopt children (thus depriving them of having either a mother or a father).
And this is all within man's acceptable moral code. Our founding fathers would
have feared the impending wrath of a holy God against such insane
wickedness!!!
Third, Hugh goes on to say, and I quote, “An afterlife would be a
really good deal. Yeah, I would vote in favor of that. But in the meantime, I
urge one and all to live this life as if there is no reward in the afterlife
and to do it in a moral way that leaves this world a little better place than
you found it.” What a wicked man! What a horrible bit of advice. I
guarantee you that Mr. Hefner is regretting his foolishness in the fires and
torments of Hell.
Fourth, Why would Hugh advise other people “to live this life as is
there is no reward in the afterlife”? You see, if there is no reward to
the righteous, then there is no reason to pursue God by faith! Hefner is
effectively saying to live one's life as though there were NO GOD. Only a
complete fool would do such an evil thing! Clearly, Hugh rejected and
disregarded the Holy Bible!!!
Fifth, Hugh foolishly says, “I urge one and all to live this life as
if there is no reward in the afterlife and to do it in a moral way that leaves
this world a little better place than you found it.” Why is he urging
others to abandon biblical morality, and live as though there were no God?
Well, for one, he needs partners to commit adultery with, so he needs
like-mined reprobates to join him in his Sodomite lifestyle. Sodom's sin went
far beyond just homosexuality, it included all manner of sin. Sodom's sins
were also idleness, pride, fullness of bread, a lack of hospitality toward
strangers and neglecting the poor. Another reason why Hugh urges other people
to live an atheist lifestyle is because he is seeking justification of his
perversion. Millions of fools listened to Hefner during the sexual revolution
of the 1960's. All of those once beautiful looking and healthy people in the
1960's are now aged, wearing diapers, drooling on themselves, crippled or
dead. No one can escape the judgment of God almighty!
Sixth,
Mr. Hefner was insane to even think that he left this world a little better
than he found it. It depends on who you ask. If you ask the victims of
millions of broken homes due to adultery and divorce caused by Playboy
magazines, then Mr. Hefner is a monster! But if you ask the untoward and
wicked, a corrupt generation of pleasure-seekers, including liberals and kooks
and quacks and queers, only from them will you hear anything even remotely
positive about Hugh Hefner.
Playboy founder and widely recognized leader of the sexual revolution, Hugh
Hefner (1926-2017) is finally dead at age 91. But he was dead long before he died,
“dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1b). I am not glad that Mr.
Hefner likely went to Hell (we really don't know). Is it possible that he repented on his death bed? Sure.
In fact, he could have been saved all along. I know that makes some believers
angry, but the only difference between Hugh Hefner and YOU is the blood of
Jesus that washes our sins away!!!
