Rebuke Them Sharply

By David J. Stewart

Titus 1:10-11,13, “For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers ... Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake ... Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith.”

The Bible plainly teaches in Titus 1:10-13 for Christians to sharply rebuke false prophets, who destroy men's lives and families. This is why I expose so many liars and deceivers who corrupt the Gospel and teach falsehoods.

God made the Gospel so simple that even a small child can be saved. If you know you have sinned against God and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God Who paid for your sins, and you believe on Him; then you are saved (John 20:31).

There are a bunch of heretics and false prophets in the world, teaching THINGS WHICH THEY OUGHT NOT (like Lordship Salvation); for filthy lucre's sake. The Bible doesn't even say that they're greedy; it just says they want the money. Filthy lucre is money obtained by ill-means, such as casinos, taverns, or false religions. Every Lordship Salvationist seems to have things to sell, teaching things which they ought not. It is evil. We must rebuke them sharply to please God.

Don't expect apostates like Michael W. Smith or TobyMac to sharply rebuke anyone, they're too busy making filthy lucre themselves singing the Devil's music. Michael Smith's music is so worldly and lame that Catholics are his biggest fans. Let me tell you something, if you love Jesus Christ then you'll tell people the truth. All of the apostate ecumenicals (the “Let's unite crowd”) steer around the truth, painstakingly going out of their way to avoid saying anything which may offend one of their followers or fans. They make God vomit (Revelation 3:15-16).

The Bible tells us to rebuke false prophets “sharply” (Greek: apotomoce, meaning “with authority”). The Bible is an authoritative Book, and the truth is irrefutable; thus, we ought to preach it so, without apology. I preach and rebuke with authority against Michael W. Smith, TobyMac, Jars of Clay, Amy Grant, MercyMe; because they are all pulling on the same rope as the Devil.

I rebuke with authority Billy Graham, Pat Robertson, Jack Chick, Aiden Tozer, C.S. Lewis, Martin Luther King Jr., Paul Washer, Ray Comfort, Dan Corner, David Cloud, John MacArthur, Martin Luther, John Calvin, the Salvation Army, Moody Bible Institute, and other Lordship Salvationists and heretics who pervert the simplicity that is in Christ. They are woefully ignorant men mishandling the Word of Truth.

It is not arrogant or cocky to preach the truth with authority. I am 100% confident that the King James Bible is God's preserved and inspired Words (Psalm 12:7-8; 2nd Timothy 3:16). John 17:17 proclaims that the Bible is THE TRUTH. I am 100% confident that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (John 3:16; 20:31). I am humble before God to obey His Word. Many people mistake me as being arrogant for proclaiming the truth with such unwavering certainty; but I am in actuality very humble, acknowledging God in every way as Proverbs 3:5-7 teach us to do. The sinful world is arrogant, placing their own carnal and finite wisdom above the knowledge of God. Humanism is an insane form of thinking that invades the human mind, convincing it of it's own superiority over God and His Word. I love all people; but I hate the false teaching of humanism. I am a born-again Christian and I believe that the Bible is the Final Authority in all matters!!!

Jesus Christ was crucified and is risen for our sins. We are saved by Christ's finished work of redemption, by the precious blood that He applied to the mercy seat in Heaven (Hebrews 9:12,24). Amen! Thus, eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23), paid for by Jesus' literal blood (1st Peter 1:18,19).

Don't dare frustrate the grace of God by adding anything to simple childlike faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. Salvation is receiving, not giving. Salvation is not something we do to get; salvation is a gift that we receive to have. Jesus paid it all. Everything that was needed to complete our salvation took place in the heavenly Holy of Holies (Hebrews 9:12,22-24). Contrary to what some Bible-students teach, redemption wasn't finished at the cross. There is nothing that we need to do except BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (Acts 16:30-31).

Unchristlike Christians hate conflict more than they hate evil.
