recognized Christian Pop singer. His first song “More Beautiful You” has
risen in popularity on American Christian music charts. His record of the
same name has charted on Billboard magazine's Top Heatseekers
and Top Christian Albums charts. Jonny Diaz has influence over
millions of fans in apostate churches all across America.
Sadly, Diaz is a sell-out, making excuses why he doesn't preach the Gospel. Not one CCM (Contemporary Christian Music) singer proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for fear of losing fans (and money). In an interview with NRT, Jonny Diaz made the following lame excuse for not giving out the Gospel...
What do you want people to take away after they hear you?
My audiences have already been introduced to Jesus and I know that because they’re already in the church and they’re already listening to the Christian radio station. So rather than spending my time introducing them to Jesus, I’d rather challenge them with different aspects of their faith. Right now, I’ve been challenging audiences to just go home and love their neighbors. Their neighbor could actually be a neighbor or it could be a friend or a schoolmate--just somebody that desperately needs the love of Christ--and ultimately use that to earn the platform to share Christ. Since when does going to church and listening to Christian radio define being a Christian? Diaz says his main focus right now is to challenge fans to go home and love their neighbor. This is John Lennon's message too, and that of the apostate Ecumenical Movement, and the message of the entire demonic New World Order. Please read, The Evils of Ecumenism. CCM is bathed in ecumenical apostasy, preaching love, love, love; instead of truth, truth, truth. Without truth there is no love, for love compels someone to tell the truth.
Jonny Diaz states in his interview that he is singing about love in order to challenge his fans to love others in order to “earn the platform to share Christ.” That's the oldest and lamest excuse of all used by ecumenical apostates. At what point is Diaz going to share the Gospel with his fans? What if those fans die in the meantime and go to Hell for all eternity? Just because most of his fans are church members doesn't mean they are saved. There's over one BILLION church members of the Catholic religion who have never been saved.
The notion that we need to win the favor of lost sinners by remaining silent about sin and false doctrines in order to win them to Christ is a big lie of the Devil. We ought to speak THE TRUTH in love as the Bible commands, instead of speaking about love in hopes of later being able to speak about truth if given the chance.
Ephesians 4:15, “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.”
Jonny Diaz has it backwards—he challenges his fans to love others in hope of gaining the opportunity to witness to them concerning Christ. The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love. God makes no apologies for His Word, and neither should we. Diaz wants his fans to witness to neighbors, but he doesn't witness to his fans (undoubtedly most of whom are not saved). What a religious sell-out! I've heard every excuse from CCM singers.
Amy Grant openly stated in an interview that she's not trying to lead anybody to the Lord...
“I'm a singer, not a preacher, I'm not looking to convert anybody” says Christian rock diva Amy Grant. (Los Angeles Times, 5/4/84, pg. 2-c) Grant goes on to demonstrate her spirituality by saying, “I'm not going to say too often that I like a cold beer while watching a football game. That might bother some of my fans.” (Greensville News, 5/4/94)
How sad! Grant has lived up to her apostasy, never having attempted to lead her hundreds-of-millions of fans to Christ. Does anyone believe anymore that Hell is a real place where the unsaved are tormented in fire forever? If you believe the Bible then you must. Your opinion doesn't change anything, and neither does mine; God's opinion is all that matters. I choose to be as narrow-minded as the Bible, to be in agreement with God, and I highly suggest that you do the same.

It doesn't say to speak about love and wait until later to tell someone the truth. In the case of the Gospel, it is not a truth that should be put off until later. Heaven and Hell are at stake. It's just a lame excuse that Diaz is making, weaseling his way out of soul-winning. Proverb 11:30 says that a wise Christian wins souls. The word “win” here means “to take, fetch.” CCM couldn't care less about fetching souls for Christ. Everything's for sale by your favorite singing idol—concerts, clothing, posters, albums, et cetera. It's all about making money, the love of which is the root of all evil (1st Timothy 6:10).
If you want to make money as a so-called “Christian” singer and not risk offending anybody, just play it safe and sing about love, love, love... just like the Communist Beatles Rock group. Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) bands and singers who only sing about love are no more Christian than The Godless Beatles. This goes for apostates like Max Lucado, Pat Robertson, and other sinister ministers who are attempting to unite evangelical Christians, protestants, and Roman Catholic together in the name of love. It is heathendom of the worst sort (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17).
I am not trying to be unkind, nor do I condemn anyone, for the Bible declares all humanity as guilty sinners before God (Romans 3:19-20). I am earnestly contending for the Biblical faith (Jude 1:3). Luke 8:14 warns against believers being choked by the cares, riches, and pleasures of this life; thus failing to bring forth any fruit unto the Lord. Nearly all believers these days are choked horribly by the cares, riches, and pleasures of this life and that's all they live for. We are all nothing more than spirits temporarily dwelling in flesh covered skeletons. We are truly living on borrowed time.
I listened to Jonny Diaz' hit song, “More Beautiful You,” and like most other CCM songs today, it has that euphoric sound that catapults the listener into the emotional stratosphere; but the Gospel is never preached, souls aren't saved, Heaven is just that much more empty, and Hell is just that much more enlarged with the souls of the damned. It is a matter of faith, just as 2nd Corinthians 5:7 says. CCM singers do not have faith, they have religion.
Only God can save a person (1st Corinthians 3:6-8), but it is our duty as Christian believers to tell others about the Good News of Christ crucified and risen for our sins (Romans 10:15; 2nd Corinthians 5:11). Luke 8:15-16, “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience. No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.” Jonny Diaz is hiding his light by not preaching the Gospel.
It is tragic, absolutely tragic, that CCM singers who have influence over tens-of-millions of fans hide the light of the Gospel, just as Satan desires, blinding men from the truth of how to be saved (2nd Corinthians 4:4). I'm so sick of hearing CCM artists sing about love, while lost sinners plunge into the fires of Hell beneath. I'm so sick of apostate ministers preaching about love, while their congregation one-by-one slip into the fires of Hell forever. God is love, granted; but the Bible teaches that God can only be worshipped IN TRUTH (John 4:24). To preach love without truth is Satanic. Diaz says he knows his fans are saved because they go to church and listen to religious radio. That's not the way to know if someone is saved. Literally, ninety-nine percent of churchgoers are bound for the Lake of Fire. Churchianity is NOT Christianity. Ye must be born-again Jesus taught (John 3:5).
One of the most disrespectful websites to the Lord is Jesus Freak Hideout, which praises Diaz' singing. Diaz has performed with other CCM apostles as an opening act; bands such as: Bebo Norman, Shane & Shane, Building 429, Steven Curtis Chapman, and MercyMe. They're all a bunch of milquetoast fence-straddlers and apostates. I doubt if any of them are genuine Christians. MercyMe appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and sang, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. At what point do these commercialized musical groups share the Gospel with anyone?
It's the industry that is so evil. In order to be accepted, promoted, and to stay in good standing in the music industry, you have to keep quiet about Biblical Christianity. You have to make a deal with the Devil if you want to rise to the top and stay there. If any one of the mainstream CCM singers came out and said they were 100% against perverted homosexuality, murderous abortion, and the cursed Catholic Church, they would be finished overnight. Instead, it's just love, love, love and no one ever gets saved. If you have to sing, dress, and behave worldly to attract fans, then it's the world that they're all coming to, not the Lord Jesus Christ. The very minute that you preach THE TRUTH as God meant it to be, goodbye fans, so long! You cannot make God cool, hip, and acceptable to the world.
