Are The Jews God's People?

Are the Jews still “God's Chosen People?” Let us consider several Biblical principles and the answer become clear to see. The Bible teaches:

As you just learned, the Gentiles by faith have also become God's Chosen People.

But what about the Jews, are they still God's Chosen People? The answer for Jews who place their faith in Jesus Christ is a resounding, yes, yes, yes! But please understand that unbelieving Jews are NOT God's people. The Bible is very clear on this matter. Romans 11:23, “And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.” So Jews who don't believe remain broken off! There's not one verse that guarantees that ALL Jews are God's people. Most are in fact broken off because of unbelief.

But you ask, couldn't Jews who are broken off still be God's chosen people, but just rebellious? God broke off the unbelieving Jews (Romans 11:20). It was the remnant that God blessed. Romans 9:27, “Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved.”

Notice what the apostle Paul says in Romans 9:6, “Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel.” Clearly, there were false Jews in New Testament times, just as their are false Jews today. Again we read in Revelation 2:9, “I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.” Who can deny that some Jews are liars and are not truly God's chosen. Some are, but some AREN'T! It's important for every Christian to understand this truth!!!

There is a remnant of saved Jews, the Jews who are the remnant of God, those Jews that have been born anew by the Spirit of God. These are God's chosen people and true children of Abraham. Galatians 3:26-29 plainly teach that only born-again Jews are heirs according to promise. Notice what Jesus taught in John 8:39, “They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.”

In other words, Jesus acknowledged that they were ethnic Jews (biologically related to Abraham), but they were not born-again Jews (spiritually related to Abraham). If they were truly Jews, then they would have believed on the Lord as did Abraham their father (Genesis 15:6). The Jews claimed Abraham to be their father, but Jesus rebuked them and said, 'YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL' (John 8:44). John 8:47, “He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.”

Romans 2:29, “But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.” Again, the Bible plainly teaches that a true Jew is a born-again Jew. No Christ-rejecting, disobedient, arrogant, blaspheming, Bible-hating Jew is part of the remnant of God's chosen people. If all Jews are God's chosen people, then what's the purpose of even mentioning a remnant? The Bible plainly teaches that the remnant in Elijah's day were those 7,000 men who had not bowed their knee to Baal.

Those Judaizer Jews today who revere the blasphemous Talmud as their holy book are serving the Devil. They blatantly reject Jesus as their Messiah. The Talmud says that Jesus was a bastard child, conceived from a Roman Soldier who raped Mary. That's how much Christ-rejecting Jews hate the Lord. They are NOT a Jew inwardly as the Bible says. True Israel are those Jews who inwardly are circumcised in heart, that is, Abraham's children by faith in Jesus Christ.

Again, the Bible plainly teaches that the promise of a great nation, which God made to Abraham, applies to born-again Jews by faith (and not to Christ-rejecting, blaspheming, ungrateful, Judaizer, Jews who control Israel's government today). The true remnant of Israel today are scattered around the world. They are both Jews physically and spiritually...

The Word of God plainly tells us who the “remnant” of God are in Revelation 12:17...

So the remnant in Revelation 12:17 are clearly defined as the seed of the woman, and we learn in Revelation 17:18 that the woman is that great city, Jerusalem. Hence, the remnant are born-again Jews who obey God's Commandments...

The true remnant of Jews today are scattered around the world. They will be caught up and removed from the world at the Rapture. However, a large group of unbelieving Jews will repent and turn to the Lord to be saved following the Rapture. The Times Of The Gentiles will have been fulfilled and God will once again deal directly with Israel (the new remnant of Jews saved during the Tribulation).

God won't defend a Godless nation today, nor did He in the Old Testament. One of the purposes of the Tribulation will be to purge Israel to prepare to meet her King, Who will reign from the throne of David in Jerusalem during the Millennium. The Lord will be defending a remnant of saved Jews Who love Jesus Christ when Russia and China attack Israel. But until the Rapture, Satan's false Jews have control of Israel, which is why Jewish rabbis are spitting on tourists in Israel. Search the web and read it for yourself. Also, it's against the law in Israel to convert a Jew to Christianity (5 years in jail).

And if that's not bad enough, Tel Aviv is now the homosexual tourist capital in the world. No wonder Revelation 11:8 says concerning Jerusalem, Revelation 11:8, “And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.” While woefully ignorant believers are worshipping Jerusalem as the holy city, the Bible calls it worse than the wickedness of Sodom and Egypt.

Zionism is a false doctrine which teaches that all Jews are God's chosen people. Zionism aims to restore the Jews to their homeland in Israel, but the Lord didn't say Israel would be regathered until He returns at the Second Coming (after the 7 year Tribulation period). Zionism also teaches the Gentiles to give money to Jews so God will bless them for giving. Every year churches foolishly donate billions-of-dollars to Zionist Jews (most of whom are unbelieving Communists, atheists and Marxists). Biblically, God's promise to bless Israel is CONDITIONAL. Exodus 19:5, “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine.” IF YE WILL OBEY! IF YE WILL OBEY! IF YE WILL OBEY! Don't miss that! People read over that and ignore this Scripture. IF YE WILL OBEY! The Jews not only disobeyed God, but murdered their Messiah.

In Genesis 12:3 God promised Abram (Abraham) “in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” This promise has been fulfilled by the giving of the law, the prophets, the Scriptures and the blessed Messiah Himself, Jesus Christ. Salvation has come to the world through Israel. Yet, there is no particular promise in Genesis 12:3 to bless all Jews simply because they are descendants of Abraham biologically. The promise by God to bless those who bless thee, and curse those who curse thee, was made solely to Abram. Again, Exodus 19:5 plainly teaches that God's promise of national blessing is conditional upon obedience to His Word. Proof of this is that God punished Israel for their disobedience and divorced the nation in 586 BC. God will restore His covenant with Israel (“he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week,” Daniel 9:27) during Daniel's 70th week, that is, during the 7-year Tribulation period.

I really admire Dave Hunt as a Christian and his teachings in the awesome video, MEGIDDO: The March To Armageddon (a fascinating 2:16 hour end times documentary). But I disagree with only one part of the video, where Dave Hunt downplays the idea of the Jews being involved in an international conspiracy behind the New World Order. It is God Who has never repented (changed His mind) about the promises that He made to Abraham and his seed. The word repentance has nothing to do with man. The Word of God teaches that the Jews are God's people by His sovereign will, and that this calling is without repentance. The word “repentance” here refers to GOD and not to MAN. This is important to understand. The Bible is NOT saying that God chose all Jews, including Christ-rejecting and wicked Jews, even without them repenting to believe the Gospel. This is the false doctrine which many people think from ignorance of the Scriptures. What the verse truly means is that God has never changed His mind concerning His promises to make of Abraham a great nation, and to bless the nations of the earth through Abraham's seed. These prophecies have and are being fulfilled still today.

God will also keep His promises to defend the of Israel during the Tribulation, and to regather Israel at the Second Coming of Christ to the earth. Jesus will literally reign upon the throne of David.

Romans 11:28-29, “As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.”

Verse 28. As concerning the Gospel. So far as the gospel is concerned; or, in order to promote its extension and spread through the earth.

They are enemies. The word enemies here stands opposed to "beloved;" and as in one respect, to wit, on account of" election," they were still beloved, i.e. beloved by God; so in another respect they were his enemies, i.e. opposed to him, or cast off from him. The enemies of God denote all who are not his true friends, Colossians 1:21; Romans 5:10, comp. Romans 11:8. The word here is applied to the Jews because they had rejected the Messiah; had become opposed to God; and were therefore rejected by him.

For your sakes. For your advantage. Their rejection has become the occasion by which the gospel has been preached to you. Comp. Romans 11:11,19,20.

As touching the election. So far as the purpose of election is concerned. That is, the election of their fathers and of the nation to be the peculiar people of God.

They are beloved. God still regards them with interest; has purposes of mercy towards them; intends still to do them good. This does not mean that he approved of their conduct or character, or that he had for them the same kind of affection which he would have had if they had been obedient. God does not love a sinful character; but he may have still purposes of mercy, and regard men with deep interest on whom he intends yet to bestow mercy.

For the fathers' sakes. Comp. Deuteronomy 10:15. He had chosen their fathers to be his peculiar people. He had made many promises to Abraham respecting his seed, and extended these promises to his remotest posterity. Though salvation is by grace, and not from human merit, yet God has respect to his covenant made with the fathers, and will not forget his promises. It is not on account of any merit of the fathers or of ancient saints, but solely because God had made a covenant with them; and this purpose of election would be manifest to their children in the latest times. As those contemplated in the covenant made with Abraham, God retained for them feelings of peculiar interest; and designed their recovery to himself. It is clear here that the word election does not refer to external privileges; for Paul is not teaching the doctrine that they shall be restored to the external privileges of Jews, but that they shall be truly converted to God. Yet this should not be abused by others to lead them to security in sin. No man has any security of happiness, and of the favour of God, but he who complies with the terms of his mercy. His commands are explicit to repent and believe, nor can there be safety except in entire compliance with the terms on which he is willing to bestow eternal life.

{b} "for the father's sakes" Deuteronomy 10:15

Verse 29. For the gifts. The favours or benefits which God bestows on men. The word (\~carisma\~) properly denotes any benefit which is conferred on another as a mere matter of favour, and not of reward. See Romans 5:15,10; 6:23. Such are all the favours which God bestows on sinners, including pardon, peace, joy, sanctification, and eternal life.

And calling of God. The word calling (\~klhsiv\~) here denotes that act of God by which he extends an invitation to men to come and partake of his favours, whether it be by a personal revelation as to the patriarchs, Or by the promises of the gospel, or by the influences of his Spirit. All such invitations or callings imply a pledge that he will bestow the favour, and will not repent, or turn from it. God never draws or invites sinners to himself without being willing to bestow pardon and eternal life. The word calling here, therefore, has not respect to external privileges, but to that choosing of a sinner, and influencing him to come to God, which is connected with eternal life.

Without repentance. This does not refer to man, but to God. It does not mean that God confers his favours on man without his exercising repentance, but that God does not repent, or change, in his purposes of bestowing his gifts on man. What he promises he will fulfil; what he purposes to do, he will not change from or repent of. As he made promises to the fathers, he will not repent of them, and will not depart from them; they shall all be fulfilled; and thus it was certain that the ancient people of God, though many of them had become rebellious, and had been cast off, should not be forgotten and abandoned. This is a general proposition respecting God, and one repeatedly made of him in the Scriptures. See Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he not said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" Ezekiel 24:14; 1 Samuel 15:29; Psalms 89:35,36; Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18; James 1:17. It follows from this,

(1.) that all the promises made to the people of God shall be fulfilled.

(2.) That his people need not be discouraged or desponding in times of persecution and trial.

(3.) That none who become his true friends will be forsaken, or cast off. God does not bestow the gift of repentance and faith, of pardon and peace, on men, for a temporary purpose; nor does he capriciously withdraw them, and leave the soul to ruin. When he renews a soul, it is with reference to his own glory; and to withdraw those favours, and leave such a soul once renewed to go down to hell, would be as much a violation of all the principles of his nature as it would be to all the promises of the Scripture.

(4.) For God to forsake such a soul, and leave it to ruin, would imply that he did repent. It would suppose a change of purpose and of feeling. It would be the character of a capricious being, with no settled plan or principles of action; no confidence could be reposed in him, and his government would be unworthy the affections and trust of his intelligent creation.

Thus, even unsaved Jews are still God's people, BUT they have clearly been cut off by God for their unbelief...

The great lesson of this passage is certainly that just as the Jews of the Old Testament became proud (assuming that they alone knew God), so also could the same thing happen to Gentiles in the New Testament era. There is a danger of either looking down on the Jews, or looking up to the Jews. Both are sinful, for God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). Zionist Jews (who are all Freemasons) have infiltrated the churches, teaching people (even naive believers) that God wants them to look up to the Jews and financially support them. Nothing could be further from the truth.

If it had not been for the grace of God, Gentiles would never have been grafted into the life of God (salvation) which the Jews enjoyed. The new life which enables Gentiles to produce fruit, grows from the same root that the old stock of Israel grows. Thus, Gentiles should have a humble attitude, not toward the Jews, but toward God who saves men by His love, mercy and grace through faith in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Neither Jews nor Gentiles can claim stake to God. Romans 10:12, “For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.”

Please understand that there are true Jews, and then there are false Jews (Communists, Freemasons, Marxists and Zionists). This is why most people are utterly confused today concerning Israel and the Jews. Most people fail to understand that there are two different, separate, groups of Jews. There's also a remnant today by grace as we learn in Romans 11:5, “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.” Amen. The election of grace is salvation by grace through faith plus or minus nothing. There is a group of born-again Jews in the world today who are God's chosen people. They are biological Jews and they are also believing Jews. That makes them 100% of the stock of true Israel (both natural and spiritual Jews).

Clearly, Galatians 3:26-29 states that they are NOT Abraham's spiritual seed, nor are they heirs of the promises of God made to the Jews in the Bible. And if you now understand that Romans 11:29 (concerning the gifts and callings of God being without repentance) refers to God and not man, then you ought to be fully convinced in this matter as I am as a Christian.

Christians are God's people. Galatians 3:28-29 says there are no Jews in Christ...

There is neither Jew nor Gentile in Christ. So we can divide all humanity into one of three groups: Jews, Gentiles and Christians. Jack Bernstein is 100% correct in saying that the Jews today are NOT God's people. There are Christ-rejecting Jews all around the world, but they are neither God's people nor His children. God's promise to bless them who bless Abraham and curse those who curse him was only to Abraham. God never blesses wicked evildoers. The Scriptures you've just read plainly teach that ONLY Jews who believe the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ will be grafted back into the tree as God's people. In other words, if you don't get saved, then you are NOT God's people and you will go to Hell forever. God cut off Israel in 586 BC for their continuous and stiffnecked rebellion against His Word, even killing the prophets. God still loves His people (His true people who obey Him) and any Jew can be grafted back into the tree, but all Christ-rejecting Jews are NOT GOD'S PEOPLE.

Less than 2% of the Jews living in Israel today profess to be a Christian. Jewish comedians like Sarah Silverman continually blaspheme the name of Jesus. Hollywood is Jewish owned and they continually blaspheme Christ's holy name in every movie they produce. These are NOT God's people. Only a fool thinks that wicked, Christ-rejecting Jews are God's people.

So only saved Jews are God's people, but so also are saved Gentiles. Only believers in Jesus Christ can claim to be heirs to the promises of God to the Jews. Galatians 3:29 proclaims this truth...

In sharp contrast, false prophet John Hagee glamorizes atheist, Communist, Marxist, unbelieving, Zionist Jews as being true Israel. Televangelist John Hagee is so corrupt that he even teaches that Jews don't need to be born-again to get to Heaven. Hagee is the author of at least 10 books, including his latest reprobate book titled, IN DEFENSE OF ISRAEL, in which he boldly claims that the Jews never rejected their Messiah because Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah. John Hagee is just plain wrong and a liar who needs to get saved himself before it's too late. John Hagee is ignorant of the Scriptures, for Jesus plainly claimed to be the Messiah in John 4:25-26, “The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.” Jesus is the Messiah!!! By the way, Pastor John Hagee lives in a 5,275 square foot Greek revival mansion on a $2.1 million dollar 8,000 acre ranch. Clearly, Hagee has been paid off by Zionist Jews!!!

Jews are no better than anyone else. In fact, the Bible condemns being a respecter of persons. James 2:9, “But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.”

A final word is that only natural and spiritual Jews will be a part of the remnant. Although believing Gentiles are grafted into the tree, they are NOT a part of the remnant of believing Jews today. There are true Jews today, scattered around the world, and they are God's chosen people. They will be regathered when the Lord return after the 7-year Tribulation period and will be restored to the Promised Land (from the Nile river in Africa up to the Euphrates river in Syria, Genesis 15:18).

The Gentiles have been blessed by the fall of Israel. The Bible warns us Gentiles not to rejoice in Israel's fall, nor to boast against them in any manner, lest we anger God...

We are very blessed by God's mercy and grace to have been given the opportunity to partake of the blessings promised to Israel. We are to be humble in our attitude as Christian believers. Yet, the Bible doesn't tells us to treat Jews any more special than anyone else. We are commanded in The Golden Rule to treat others as we would like to be treated (Matthew 7:12). God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11) and neither should we be (James 2:9). Romans 10:12 says, “For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.” There is no difference. Salvation came first to the Jews, and is also offered to the Gentiles. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Thank God for His love, mercy and grace by faith in Jesus Christ!!!
