Chase Bank Credit Card Sucks

       I hate Chase bank! They really suck. On May 2, 2022 I bought a Deering Sierra banjo from banjo.com merchant in Wedowee, Alabama. I paid $2,799. The owner Barry Waldrep of banjo.com put it in writing to me that I should receive the banjo in 4 to 6 weeks or sooner. He said that because I told him that I didn't want to wait months to receive a banjo. He flat out lied to me! by August I still hadn't receive the banjo, 3 months later!

So I contacted Chase from within my account, sending them a message. I asked Chase how long I had to file a dispute. An automated reply said call volume was high and it might take several days to receive a responded but no ever responded. So I emailed again and the same thing happened. I called them and was switched to 5 different idiots on the phone. No one could give me a straight answer. The banjo finally arrived in late September but was unplayable because the intonation was so bad, and the banjo had a bad buzz on stings 4 and 5. So, I sent it back to banjo.com.

The owner Barry talked me into upgrading to a Deering Golden Era banjo for $4,899. I asked Barry twice how long it would take, but he ignored me both times. I was frustrated but decided to just wait for the better banjo. Six months later the banjo arrived at banjo.com in March, but the owner said he was dissatisfied and couldn't sell me the banjo because it had a bad buzz on the 5th string. He told me that he would send out the banjo to a professional Luthier at his cost, but said that the man was real busy.

After 4 more months passed, on September 10, 2022 I had had enough and requested all of my money back. Barry Waldrep asked me to wait 90 more days and promised to refund all of my money. Right after that in late September, Chase bank insanely sent me a letter saying that they had resolved my dispute and sided with the merchant. Chase said that the $2,799 charge was valid. I angrily contacted Chase by mail, sending their retarded letter back to them after I crumpled it up in anger, informing those idiots that I NEVER FILED A DISPUTE. They didn't care and nobody replied. I contacted Chase in November of 2022, kindly telling them that if banjo.com didn't refund my money by late December, that I be filing a dispute. Chase wickedly replied that the dispute had already been resolved and they had sided with the merchant. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A BANJO!!! How the hell can they side with the merchant?

This are the evils that Chase did to me:

  1. I simply asked a question on August 11, 2022 which no one at Chase ever answered. I wanted to know how long I had to file a dispute for a May 2, 2022 purchase at banjo.com

  2. No one from chase ever answered my question

  3. Chase filed a dispute without my knowledge or permission behind my back

  4. No one from Chase ever asked me for any supporting documentation, which would have helped win my case (for a dispute that they filed without my knowledge or permission)

  5. No one from Chase ever contacted me during the dispute (which I was unaware had been filed)

  6. One year later Chase told me that they had closed the dispute in favor of the merchant

  7. I sent their abusive letter back and complained about their incompetence

  8. They sent me a message in December of 2022 telling me to save all my documentation for the dispute, which confused me

  9. Days later Chase again said they had closed the dispute in favor of the merchant

  10. I still didn't receive a banjo and the merchant also had my money

  11. When I called on December 13, 2023, the moronic woman on the phone at Chase blamed me for not calling Chase more often

I am flabbergasted at the incompetent of a multi-billion dollar bank! This is no way to do things.

RUN from Chase bank and their damn credit card! When you need them the most, they WON'T be there for you. I NEVER asked Chase to file a dispute. They never contacted me. They admitted that they never contacted the seller. What the hell do they do at Chase anyway, because from where I sit they appear to be worthless! No one from Chase ever answered my simple question, when I asked on August 11th, 2022 how long I had to file a dispute. They filed a dispute without my knowledge. Nobody contact me for one year, expect at the end to tell me that they had sided with the merchant.

I cannot believe the utter incompetent at Chase bank. It's bad enough that they don't reply to my messages in my Chase account, but they nobody ever contacted me to let me know that a dispute was filed. Chase did that without my knowledge. I didn't learn until December 13, 2023 that I only had 118 days to file a dispute. These people are scum! They hide behind there 20,000 words of crooked sneaky fine print, blaming the customer when things go wrong. Crooked lawyer write fine print to screw consumers and protect greedy corporations and banks. Nobody ever answered my simple question when I asked how long I had to file a dispute. No one from Chase ever asked me for any documentation. They crap on their customers at Chase!!!

The woman employee at Chase on the phone told me on December 13, 2023 that I was out of luck for the $2,799 because it was pass the 118 day limit. But I told her that it was the fault of Chase, because they never answered my question on August 11, 2022 about how long did I have to file a dispute, which was still within the 118 days period. Since Chase was deceitful and never told me that THEY filed a dispute, I never submitted any documentation to Chase which could have helped greatly. Chase are rotten as can be!!! Evidently they have a bunch of minimum wage employees working phones who don't know what they hell they are doing, because somebody dropped the ball big time with my account.

If I had my way, I'd fine Chase one billion dollars for incompetence!!! I hope and pray that God will avenge me of Chase's abuse and cruelty. These are wicked and unreasonable people, who have no faith in God. They do not fear God. Beware of Chase bank, all they care about is their own money, not yours. They will hurt you as they did to me! God will punish Chase.
